Show Coleen Aiken to wed Chad Beagley Feb. 14 Coleen Aiken of Orem will become the bride of Chad Beagley on Saturday, the fourteenth day of February, 1987. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Christensen and the late Glenn Aiken, of Orem. Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant R. Beagley of Spanish Fork. The bride is a graduate of Orem High School. The groom is a graduate of Spanish Fork High School and is employed with Brown Steel. The ceremony will take place at the Orem 31st Ward with Richard Peirce officiating. An open house will be held Saturday, Satur-day, February 20 from 7 to 9 pjn. at the home of the groom's parents, 795 North 300 West, Spanish Fork. Attending the bride will be Tawnya Christensen, a sister. Ryan Beagley will be best man for his brother. Prenuptial showers were given by Penny Beagley, Cindy Gleaves, Evelyn Beagley, Nancy Houston, and Jane Donaldson. Stephanie Gibbons to wed John Haderlie in Temple CHAD BEAGLEY AND COLEEN AIKEN Julie Schlappi to wed Brad Snell in Manti Stephanie Gibbons, daughter of W. Eugene and Evelyn Gibbons of Orem, will marry John D. Haderlie on Saturday, February 14, 1987 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Parents of the groom are Vaughn J. and Danice Haderlie of Freedom, Wyoming. The couple will be honored at a reception to be held that evening from 6 to 9 p jn. at the Orem 25th-48th Ward cultural hall at 80 S. 280 E. An open house also will be held the following Saturday at Freedom Ward Building from 7 to 9 p.m. Attending the bride will be ' Melody Wright as matron of honor. Bridesmaids will be Denise Gibbons, Lydna Gibbons, Margaret Haderlie, Beth Buckwalter, and Stephanie Asay. Best man will be Dan Lindsay with Brian Wright, Kurt Gibbons, Nathan Gibbons, Eric Gibbons and Jay Haderlie as groom's attendants. The prospective bride is a graduate of Orem High and LDS Seminary and has attended Brigham Young University. She was involved in music and sports at OHS. Naylor of Orem, Utah will marry James D, Hopkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Lester Hopkins of Boise, Idaho, on Friday, February 13, 1987 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 at the Orem 50th Ward, 135 East 2000 South, Orem. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Schlappi, Orem will marry Brad Snell, son of Dr. and Mrs. George Snell, Kaysville on Saturday, February 14 in the Manti Temple. Julie's grandfather will perform per-form the ceremony. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Orem South Central Stake Center, 158 East 1100 South in Orem. All friends and relatives are invited. The bride-elect is a graduate of Mt. View High School and is currently current-ly attending BYU. Her future husband hus-band graduated from Davis High School, served an LDS Mission to Hong Kong, and has earned a broadcasting broad-casting degree at BYU last year. He is currently employed in Provo. The couple will live in Orem. CNB Community Roundtable for businesses The Small Business Administration Ad-ministration (SBA) and CNB Con-1 suiting will be co-sponsoring the CNB Community Roundtable for Business Exchange, a nonprofit corporation. Six sessions in each of the three locations are scheduled in 1987, the first to begin in March. Sessions will be held in the Provo, Salt Lake and Ogden areas. All people interested in business are invited to become members. It will be the 3,000th consecutive weekly network broadcast for the famed musical organization. "Music and the Spoken Word," the formal name of the weekly program, pro-gram, is the world's longest running national network show, dating back to 1929. The program has been on the air longer than most choir members have lived. The roster of the 332 current members of the choir includes 123 Orem vocalists. The others come JULIE SCHLAPPI AND BRAD SNELL from 37 other utah cities ranging from Tremonton on the north (75 miles from Salt Lake City) to Provo on the south. Choir members from Orem include: in-clude: Daniel Knudsen, Karl Nelson, Orval Skousen, Peggy Lambert, Nina Richards, Gordon Ridd, Ruby Bee-ston, Bee-ston, Cosette West, Susan Sorenson, Marilyn Neubert, LeRoy Gibbons, and Debra Gehris. Another Orem resident, Helen Weeks, retired from the Choir in January after serving for over 15 years. The 3,000th weekly broadcast on February 15th at 9:30 a.m. will feature a special program plus a commemorative com-memorative program that will follow at 10 a jn. Both will be heard and seen on KSL, Salt Lake City, TV Channel 5. Women outnumber men in the Choir, 186 to 146. Members range in age from 31 to 59. To participate in the weekly broadcast, Choir members drive a combined total of at least 4,000 miles. All are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are unpaid, volunteering hundreds hun-dreds of hours each year for rehearsals, rehear-sals, broadcasts, recording sessions, and concert tours. The Choir is heard now on not only on-ly the national CBS radio network, but also on a syndicated television network. net-work. It is broadcast by American Armed Forces Radio into a dozen European countries, and by international inter-national radio transmission, it goes into many Latin American nations where the "Spoken Word" is translated into Spanish or Portuguese.
