Thompson has been named assistant administrator ad-ministrator at LDS Hospital, Hosp-ital, effective immediately. The appointment was made by David B. Wirthlin, hospital administrator. Mr. Thompson has served as director of LDS Hospital's Planning and Marketing Department since 1976. He will now be responsible for the hospital's hosp-ital's new 'Life Flight helicopter program, Emergency Department and Outpatient Clinic. He will also continue to direct the Planning Department De-partment which involves developing hospital utilization utiliza-tion trends, volume forecasting, fore-casting, new program development, market research, re-search, physician recruitment re-cruitment and long-range planning.
