Show April 15, 1978 Utah Synphony Eyes Finale The 1975-7G subscription series ser-ies of the Utah Symphony in the Salt Lake Tabernacle will come to a close on Friday, April 16, at 8 p.m., as it began six months ago, with Maurice Abravanel conducting con-ducting an all-orchestral program. pro-gram. Tickets for the April 16 concert con-cert are on sale now at 55 West First South, SLC, Utah 84101 (telephone 533-6407). Although Friday's concert Orem-Geneva Times marks the end of the Utah Symphony's Sym-phony's 3Cth subscriptionseries, it will by no means mark the end of the orchestra's activities for the season. On April 19 Abravanel and the Utah Symphony will embark on a 3 12-week tour to the Midwest. Upon their return they will sequester se-quester themselves for a week of recording sessions for Vanguard. Van-guard. Then from May 29 through June 11 they will appear for the first time with the Salt Lake Mormon Mor-mon Tabernacle Choir in concerts con-certs throughout the state. Poulson will hold an ' open house in honor of the golden wedding aniuversary of their parents on Saturday, April 17, The event will be held at the Poulson residence at 485 North 800 East in Orem from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend and it is requested that they bring no gifts. The couple were married April 23, 1926, in Duchesne, Utah and the marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake Temple on May 21, 1941. They resided in Duchesne county where Mr. Poulson was in the livestock business and then started his professional career in the forest service. In 1948, they moved to Orem when he was transferred to the Uinta National Forest, assigned to the Provo and Heber districts. He retired in 1971 after 30 years of service. The Poulsons are parents of three children; Mrs. Jess F. (LaDene) Donnell, Winterllaven, Florida, T. Ned Poulson, Mapleton, Utah, and Mrs. Douglas S. (Vonzaa)StubbsKem-merer, (Vonzaa)StubbsKem-merer, Wyoming. They have 12 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Sergeant Gets A.F. Promotion Thurman H. Mobley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey W, Mobley of 1477 N. State, Orem, Utah, has been promoted to technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Sergeant Mobley, an avionic navigations systems technician, is assigned at Andersen AFD, Guam, with a unit of the Strategic Stra-tegic Air Command. The sergeant attended Ricks Junior College, Rexberg, Idaho, and received a B.S. degree in 19G1 from Brigham Young U niversity, and an M.A. degree in 1970 from Zuter American University, San German, Puerto Rico.
