Mrs. Vernon Hopkins and daughter, daugh-ter, Judy, visited Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Barnes of Mid-vale. Mid-vale. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bigler visited their daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peterson and family fam-ily of Murray Monday. Lark Ward Mutual recently held a contest on the reading of the Book of Helaman. For the contest, the mutual was divided into two sides with the side having the most persons reading the book winner. The losing side gave a party at the church for the winning side Tuesday Tues-day night at Mutual. Games were played under direction of new sports din 1 ort Marilyn Holladay and Polly Abplanalp end refreshments refresh-ments were served. A delightful time was had by all. Nancy Nealley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nealley, returned home last Friday from El Paso, Tex. where she has spent the summer. She will visit with her parents until Sept. 26 when she wil Heave to attend at-tend Brigham Young University at Provo. Visitors Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalley and family were Mr. and Mrs. Rue Dalley of Henderson, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Foist and Mrs. Foist's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cuy Beckstrom and brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Beck strom and children, Brent and Kirt, of West Jordan enjoyed Labor Day at Deer Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gressmen and daughter, Helen, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Pietice of Murray spent Labor Day fishing at Scofield. Donna end Vauna Lee Deakin and Lois and Jeanine Fahrni spent Sunday and Monday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Fahrni of Kearns. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bigler spent last Friday and Saturday at Midway. Mid-way. On Friday they attended Swiss day and Saturday they visited with Mrs. Naomi Burgener and Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Bigler and also attended the operetta "Midway to Heaven." Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hopkins and family Ronald, Judy, Mike and JoAnn spent Labor Day visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Wess Hasten and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Davidson of Magna.
