Dr. Merrett To Speak At Government Council Meet Dr. LaVere Merrett, state health department, was guest speaker at a recent meeting of Utah County Council of Government Govern-ment pertaining to water and sewer. He talked about the different clases of grade c water and what it involves. He showed slides of charts explaining classes of water Li dilation to clorination, bacteria, etc. He said the eight years ago the the Federal Government had required that each state submit classifications of all the waters in their stafe. States not meeting meet-ing the requirements were cited. As Utah has, for a number of years, had strict laws regarding pollution of water there was no difficulty. Dr. Merrett then told of several ways the water plants could be combined. Careful studies are being made of these problems in areas throughout the state. It was stressed that the committee com-mittee make apian for the Council of governments to adopt, before any money can be funded by the government.
