OREM SOUTH STAKE The Orem South Stake MIA Drama and Music Departments will present "House Talk" on their Parent and Youth Night, January 30 and 31, in the Orem 4th-27th Ward, 475 S. 400 West, SINGING IN PERFECT HARMONY are these youth who wish they and their parents could harmonize as well in the Orem South Stake play, "House Talk". From left to right Orem. "House Talk", a dramatic musical play will be presented in the "theatre in the round" style with actors and actresses performing in the center of the floor and the audience seated on all sides. they are: front, Jim Owens, Stephanie Partridge, Par-tridge, and Gary Horan; back, Joe Haynie, David Hair, Cheryl Abegg, High Hilton, and Denise Madsen. DRAKE Beginning Feb. 1, Utah Valley Hospital will have a new director ' and associate director of nursing g services. Richard E . D rake, a registered nurse, has been appointed director dir-ector of nursing services a nd vBrigitte Nulla has been named associate director. Mr. Drake is a graduate of the Idaho State University School of nursing and has a master's degree in psychiatric nursing from Wayne State University in 5 Detroit. He will replace Marilyn Prete who will return to BYU to complete a master's program in health education. Mr. Drake has been serving as an associate professor of nursing at the BYU college of nursing. He will continue as a university faculty member with a reduced schedule while holding the Utah Valley Hospital position. Mr. Drake worked as an emergency room and surgical unit aid while completing his nursing training. He also worked on the psychiatric unit at Lafayette La-fayette Clinic in Detroit while completing his master's program. pro-gram. A native of Logan, Mr. Drake was an instructor of nursing at . the University of Utah College of nursing and was the director of nursing services at the Cen- BRIGITTE NUILA tral Utah Community Mental Health Center before taking the teaching position at BYU. , Mr. Drake serves as aboard member of the Utah Nursing Association and is a member of that group's legislative committee. com-mittee. Mr. and Mrs. Drake (Mary) and their four children, Taylor (8), Leston (6), Paul (2), and Mary Kay (1), live at 343 South 350 East, Orem. Mrs. Nuila is a native of-. Heidelburg, West Germany and a graduate from the School of Nursing at the American Hospital Hos-pital in Guatemala City. She has worked at the Lutheran Rural Missionary Hospital in Antigua Guatemala, at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt General Hospital in Guatemala City and has been an operating room nurse at Utah Valley Hospital since 1962. She did post-graduate work in nursing at BYU in 1972 and is a member of the Utah Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and the Association of Operating Room Nurses. She also has served as vice president of District Three, Utah Nurses Association, which includes in-cludes Provo. Since completing postgraduate work at BYU, she has been on the teaching staff of the operating room portion of that school's college of nursing program. Mr. and Mrs. Lotario Nuila of 254 N. 250 East, Orem, have four children, (Otto (18), Helmut (16), Robert (15) and Karen (6). 1776' At BYU Ends Saturday "1776", the American musical, brings to the .deJong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University Univer-sity Jan. 22-27 the storm of controversy which confronted the early Americans: Should the colonies bear English taxation without representation or should they declare independence and ready their raged troops for war? The popular musical will be presented at 1:30 p.m. Matinees on Jan. 22 and 23 and at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Jan. 24-27. It will be taken to the Promised Valley Playhouse in Salt Lake City Feb. 7-10 and 13-17. Under the direction of Dr. Charles Metten, the enthusiastic cast includes Nelden Maxfield as the bull-headed John Adams and Mark Hopkin as the thorn in the side of independence in the character of Edward Rutledge. As the lovable, wise Benjamin Franklin is Michael Goodman who babies his gout and the angry young delegates with affability and charm. Diana Harris Johnson John-son plays the role of Abigail Adams, who is welcome romantic relief to this story of the battle for freedom. Choreographer Dee Winterton staged the musical numbers and said it was "an exciting experience exper-ience -working with this vibrant cast."
