Show BYU Coed Confessed Love For Three-Foot Roomate Somestudents have the craziest roommates! Take the case, for example, of Sally Stradling, 22, of Mesa Arizona, a senior majoring major-ing in home economics education at BYU. Sally and five other coeds share their small apartment apart-ment in downtown Provo with a three -foot-long iguana named Herman." To make the big green lizard feel at home - he comes from the tropical climate of Central America - the girls have decorated dec-orated their living room like a jungle and placed Herman in a floor-to-ceiling cage in the corner. The scaley creature spends most of the day sunning himself on a branch inside the cage among some plastic foilage and beneath a warm electric light bulb. 'Herman is really no trouble at all," says Miss Stradling. "He usually just sits there and sleeps, and he doesnt eat very much. Herman is strictly a vegetarian and gets along quite nicely on grapes, lettuce, cabbage leaves and any other cast-off greens from the dinner table. The spring reptile is a little shy and will let only Sally picic him up. He becomes excited when others try to handle him. But there aren't many people who want to touch him," says his owner. "Even the guys who come to visit us won't go near Herman." Herman is just fine with us as long as he stays in his cage," There's Still Time To Enroll In The Fall Quarter - Evening School UTAH TECHNICAL COLLEGE at PROVO Course Aviation Ground School Auto Custom Refinishing Automatic Transmission Repair Automotive Transmission Th. & Shop Custom Woodrefinishing Refresher Shorthand Personal Improvement Personal Finance Small Business Management Human Relations in Management Mechanical Drafting Semiconductor Theory FCC License Prep. Hales, manager of the Federal Land Bank Association Associa-tion of Provo, has returned from Berkeley where personnel of the 34 Federal Land Bank Associations Associ-ations serving Utah, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Arizona met with the staff of the Federal Land Bank of Berkeley in a 2-day 2-day conference. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss new lending policies and procedural changes brought about by the Farm Credit Act of 1971 and programs for further improving service to the farmers and ranchers ran-chers who obtain long-termLand Bank loans in the Berkeley bank's five-state area. George P. Bloxham, president, reviewed the bank's progress for the first 8 months of 1972. He jointed out that. the $110 million in loans closed by the bank this year is 36 percent greater than in the same period of 1971 and that the total amount of loans outstanding reached more than $673 million, a 12 percent increase in-crease over a year ago. Mr. Bloxham stressed that agriculture ag-riculture is in a period of tremendous tre-mendous change and that the Farm Credit act of 1971 will enable the Federal land Bank Association of Provo to keep abreast of the changes by offering offer-ing innovative lending services and operating more efficiently.
