Erickson was elected District Chairman of the Squaw Peak District Boy Scouts of America Am-erica for the seventh consecutive year in an installation ceremony conducted by Mayor Winston Crawford at the Orem City Center. Cen-ter. Mayor Crawford served as chairman of the nominating committee com-mittee and presented the following fol-lowing names that were approved to serve the district for the coming com-ing year: Boyd C. Orem-Geneva Times Eagles Abound InTroop 39 Eight members of Boy Scout Troop 39 of the Orem Second LDS Ward were awarded the Eagle rank of scouting in special ceremonies held recently in the ward. In addition to the eight, five other scouts achieved the Eagle rank this year, according to Scoutmaster Gerald Nielsen. A total of 33 Eagle Scouts under un-der the age of 21 now reside in the Second Ward area, he said. Assistant scoutmaster is Nor man Noble.
