Each year SCERA contributes generously and sponsors outstanding out-standing recreational programs. DOUBLE EXPOSURES TOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SHOP The Double Exposures 4-H group recently went to the local studios in Provo where they were taken on a tour through the studio to see the many different kinds of cameras. They were also taken through a dark room to see how pictures are processed and enlarged to different sizes. The club members mem-bers reported that it was a very interesting and enjoyable experience. LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Separate sealed bids for the following work will be received by the Orem City Council at the office of the recorder until 8:00 o'clock p.m. on the 28th day of November, 1966, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. SCHEDULE II Furnish and install 8 sanitary sewer and 8 water line on 200 South between 800 East and 1000 East. SCHEDULE IH Furnish and install 6 water line on 900 South from 900 East to Carterville road. The information for bidders, form of bid, form of contract, plans, specifications, and forms of bid bond, performance and payment bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the office of City Engineer located at City Hall, Orem, Utah. Copies may be obtained there upon payment of ten dollars for each set. Any bidder, upon returning re-turning such set within five days after the opening of bids and in good condition, will be refunded his payment. The owner reserves the right to" waive any informalities or to reject re-ject any or all bids. LOCAL CONTRACTOR RECEIVES SAFETY AWARD The Associated General Contractors Con-tractors of America have announced an-nounced that Prestwich & Healy Company of Orem were recognized recog-nized for its outstanding safety record. Tuesday night at a Salt Lake meeting the company received a certificate for having a full year's construction operation with no lost-time accidents. According to the AGC, the award is part of a program to reduce accidents at construction sites. The. contractor group reports re-ports that the association includes in its safety program the wearing wear-ing of hard hats, enforcement of safety regulations at construction sites, training courses for supervisors super-visors and flagmen, and awards for outstanding accident prevention preven-tion records. Training School To Hold Membership Meet The semi-annual Membership Meeting of the Utah State Training Train-ing School at American Fork will be held Sunday, November 20 at 10:45 sum. The meeting is in conjunction with National Retarded Children's Week and Open House. A fine program has been planned in which the residents resi-dents of the Training School will participate. Parents are urged to attend and the Training School is providing pro-viding transportation for all who need a ride. The Parent Organization at American Fork Training School assist the nearly 1000 residents (which are from homes in all Utah counties), and the Training School administration in a volunteer volun-teer capacity. It also provides parents with the opportunity to help each other by working together to-gether for the common cause. Guided tours will originate from the school auditorium after lunch. Interested associations were invited to have students and faculty members come and present pre-sent either an informational program pro-gram consisting of one of the many projects, services and departments de-partments offered at Orem High or talent entertainment numbers. These students are professional in their preformances.
