ASCfolh'J r SWIFT'S Elcttbns P8 pREiaiuif -::; M o ) SN-f ' V The approaching election of ASC community committees for farm program administration in Utah County was announced today by Claude Hunting, Chairman, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee. Voting will be by mall, the Chairman explained, and ballots will be sent to each known eligible voter. In case eligible voters fail to receive a ballot through the mail, they may obtain one by coming in to the ASCS County Office, 140 West 1st North, Provo Utah, and requesting one. Generally a farm-owner, tenant, or sharecropper is eligible to vote if he is taking part or is eligible to take part In one or more of the programs administered administ-ered by the ASC committees. Envelopes containing marked ballots may be mailed or returned re-turned to the ASCS County Office my time between December 4 and December 14, 1964. Ballots will .a tabulated publicly by the county committee Deember 17, 1964 at the ASCS office. The following slates of nominees nom-inees for ASC community committees com-mittees have been announced: Community "C" (Pleasant Grove. Lindon, Manila): Boyd Anderson, Harold A r mist e ad,. Robert A. James, Holly Max-field, Max-field, J. Reid Peterson, William J. Pratt, John Y. Swenson, Roy Thome, Nyle Wadley, and Leonard Leon-ard Walker. Community "D" (Orem, Vineyard): Vine-yard): Rex Blake, Merrill N. Crandall, Dean Gillman, Leo Holdaway, LeRoy Holdaway, Thomas Reese, Vern Stratton, and Dennis Zubeck. Community "E" (Provo, Lake-view, Lake-view, Pleasant View, Fdgemont): Carlyle Holman Dawson, Sterling Durrant, Virl Fisher, Robert P. Madsen, Hal Scott, and Morris Scott: For each committee, three regular members and two alternates alter-nates will be elected. The chairman, chair-man, vice chairman, and regular member of the elected ASC community com-munity committee will also serve as delegate, alternate delegate, and second alternate delegate, respectively, to the county convention con-vention where the ASC county committee will be chosen within the next few weeks. Questions on eligibility to vote and hold office, or on the election -procedure, will be determined by the ASC county committee subject to appeal to te ASC State committee. com-mittee. !
