Farnsworth, retiring Orem City Manager, will be honored at a public testimonial testimon-ial program to be held at 8 p.m. Friday in the new Orem Flrst-24th Ward chapel, 200 East 200 North. Milton Jameson, mayors under un-der whom Mr. Farnsworth has served during his eight-year tenure as Orem's top administrative adminis-trative official. Mr. Farnsworth was appointed ap-pointed Orem's first city manager on Jan. 12. 1954 following fol-lowing the adoption of the council-manager formof government by the Orem City Council. Since that time he has serr ved tirelessly in administering administer-ing the day-to-day operation of the city, as well as partici pating in innumerable meet-Intra meet-Intra fit the Orem Metropoli tan Water Board, planning Commission, Adjustment Board, and various civic organizations, or-ganizations, i Friday 'fti-jht's testimonial will recognize Mr. Farns-worth's Farns-worth's selfless devotion to Orem City during a period when many important developments de-velopments have taken place. Crash Hurts Hospitalize Orem Man, 21 Two persons were injured; one is still hospitalized and listed in "fairly good" con dition as the result of a two car accident that occured Saturday morning at approximately approxi-mately 669 East 1600 S., Orem. One car, driven by David L. Sumter, 21, 669 E. 1600 S., and a second, driven by Bonnie Bon-nie P. Blood, 31, Midway, collided col-lided when the second car apparently failed to negotiate a curve. The driver of the second car was treated for an Injured knee and bruises. Mr. Sumter suffered multiple fractures of (the pelvla and lacerations about the head and arms. Officers are still investigating investigat-ing circumstances of the collision. WWk! Where!
