In the Lehi game Hal Allen of Orem pitched pitch-ed a no hit ball game until he with others had a good day at the plate as he hit three for four at bat. But the Tigers were unable to hold BY High as the Wildcats slipped two runs across in the last inning for the victory. Good Performance Coach Jarman said he was particularly pleased with the play and hiting of Gary Shum-way Shum-way at shortstop, D a vid Thomp-on In centerfield, Glen Bullock behind . the plate (catcher) and Lee Bunnell in right field. The Tiger pilot! said these boys loom as the consistent power hitters for the team. He was also pleased with the pitching of Hal Allen and Rulon Biatter,. In the opinion opin-ion of Jarman the biggest weakness of the team is typical typ-ical of most high school team problems not enough good pitching. The coach remarked that pitching is 85 per cent of the capableness of a school ball club. He will be working constantly con-stantly throughout the season to develop some outstanding chukkers. baseball box scores i Orem-Geneva Times R H El' Thursday, April 9, 1959 Lehi 000 000 1 1 1 Orem 301 052 110 22 9 Battery: Edwards, Barnhart and Price, Lehi.
