Provo is classed as one of the top four teams in the class A division. The end of the first quarter showed Lincoln with a 7 to 5 lead over the Bulldogs. They didn't slow up a bit during the first half and the halftime score was Lincoln 20, Provo 17. In the third quarter Provo was able to push to a 34 to 28 lead over the Tigers. Provo led throughout the final quarter but were kept on their toes right down to the final buzzer to beat 42 to 40. Lincoln's Coach Berdean Jar-man Jar-man blames the Lincoln loss on their foul pitching as they made a 56 percent average in their pre- 3eason games. YW-MIA YW-MIA teams from six wards of Orem Stake have formed a league under the direction of Hazel Parcell, stake YWMIA ports director. Teams are made up of girls from the Mia Ma I As and older classes, with an able coach handling each team. Wards from the Orem Second to Seventh, inclusive, in-clusive, are participating. Games are played each Wednesday night in the Union elementary school gym, with three contests played starting at 6 pan, 6:45 pjn. and 7:30 pjn.
