New Officers Are Installed at Jaycee Inaugural Banquet Installation of new officers and presentations of awards hli?hllehted the annual Orem Jaycee and Auxiliary Inaugural banquet held Wednesday night at Bill and iva's caie. Sixty-two members of the Jaycees and its auxiliary, and guests attended the banquet honored guests were Peter LKoy Nelson, Ogden attorney and his wife; Mayor Ray Loveless and Mrs. Loveless; and Ted Ander son, state legislator and his wife. Mr. Nelson was the featured speaker. Certificates of merit and Key- man Keys were awarded to Bur-nell Bur-nell Fowler, state vice-president, Bill Burr, Fred Wright Weston Koiiord and George McKinney. Tovrall Nelson, outgoing president presi-dent bestowed the presidential award upon Fred Wright Incoming officer, of the cees who were installed were the following: Hewitt M. Strong, Jr., president; presi-dent; Bill Burr, first vice president; presi-dent; Fred Wright second vice pesident; Wendell Beck, secretary; secre-tary; William Wells, treasurer; Eugene Bingham, Vernon Part- riee and Wayne Gammon, two year directors; and Weston Kof- ford. Delbert Mills and Dixon Larson, one year directors. Ralph Schenck Named Commander Of Legion District , Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Graff and children and Mr. and Mrs. Voln Mott and Beverly have re turned from a two week vacation. They visited the Grant Terry family in Mesa, Arizona and the LaVerl Mott family in Los Angeles. Ralph Schenck, veteran ber of Orem's post of the American Amer-ican Legion, was named commander com-mander of District 4 at a district convention held here Saturday at the Veterans HalL Mrs. Martha Stewart of Provo was named head of the district's Auxiliary. Herman Her-man Teague of Orem was ap-' pointed to serve as District 4 secretary. t Mr. Schenck succeeds Harland Boyer of Springville. He ha served during the past year aa vice commander. Appoximately 150 members of the Legion from the Utah county coun-ty area gathered for the annual, meeting. They : were welcomed by Mayor Ray E. Lovless.
