Show ClOOf -GENKVA TIMES THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 1953 "ITT A v UsV 7 9 ' 1 Observance of Wildlife Week Slated March 15-21 the Utah Valley Wildlife Protective Pro-tective Association will join the Utah Wildlife Federation and organized or-ganized conservationists through-out through-out the country in ob3ervins National Na-tional Wildlife Week irom March 15 through 21, according to Thad Hansen, president" National Wildlife Federation. Washington, D. C, a non-profit organization, in conjunction ,wlth its affiliates in 43 states. The Federation and affiliates represent repre-sent more than 4,000,000 sportsmen sports-men and conservationists. Purpose of the Week la to draw attention nationally to the need for united action in conserving con-serving and restoring America's dwindling natural resources, Mr. Hansen said. The Utah Wildlife Federation is a statewide league of local conservation chapters or sportsmen's sports-men's clubs. The Utah Valley Wildlife Protective Assoc. is the local affiliate. Each year the Federation chos-es chos-es a theatened bird or mammal as the symbol of wasted resources, resour-ces, Mr. Hansen said.
