Bacon Lundell Named Farmers Home Representative , Parley E. Lundell of Spanish Fork was appointed recently to the Farmers Home Administration Administrat-ion committee for Utah County, Golden Stephenson, local supervisor super-visor for the agency, said this week. The appointment was made by Karl J. Magleby, state director, Salt Lake City. The new county committeeman committee-man is a dairy farmer and a long time resident of the Benjamin community. His experience in developing a successful family-type family-type farm, Stephenson said, fits him well for his new assignment assign-ment in aiding other farmers to do the same. Mr. Lundell will serve a three year term on the committee. Stephenson explained that all applications for Farmers Home Administration credit must be approved by the County Committee Com-mittee before loans can be made. When a real estate loan is being considered to buy, enlarge or develop a farm or to improve housing and fram buildings, the committee also determines how much the farm is worth as sec urity for the loan. Advice of the committeemen is sought on good farm management manage-ment and on the refinancing of tarmers Home Administration loans when borrowers build up enough equity in their property to get credit from local banks or other lenders, Stephenson added- Farmers who can get private or cooperative credit are not eligible for loans from the agency. Lundell succeeds Samuel Cord ner of Orem whose three year term expired June 30. Members who continue to serve are Delphin Hiatt of Pay- un ana it. u. wadley of Pleas ant Grove. i ; i TOLLTNOFTBELL STARTS UTAH BONDS DRIVE Gov. J.
