Kathryn Loveless and Joan Terry gave talks in Sunday School and Kate Cordner gave the sacrament gem. Members of the Adult Aaron-ic Aaron-ic priesthood presented the program pro-gram Sunday evening. Wells Duke conducted and speakers were Neal Bunnell and Martin Johnson. Mary Jean Biggs sang a vocal solo, accompanied by Evelyn Higbee and LuJean Sundberg playd an organ solo. Ward members and friends enjoyed a barbeque dinner served serv-ed Monday evening in the chapel chap-el grove and a program by the BYU Hawaiian club. The Relief Society was in charge of the meal and Clarence Bliss supervised super-vised the barbequeing. Primary THURSDAY, JUNE 14, 1951 workers decorated the tables which were set up by the Elders. Eld-ers. Edgar Booth was in charge of lighting and the MIA girls assisttd with the serving and d;sh washing. Ticket sales were handled by the Adult Aaronic priesthood members. A check completing payment on the welfare wel-fare farm was presented to President Pres-ident Philo T. Edwards by Bishop Bish-op M. D. Wallace. Lincoln ward was one of two wards in the stake to reach its quota in the number of temple names completd for the month. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Moss represented repres-ented the ward at the stake excursion ex-cursion last week. Hilda Park. Nina Booth, Zaida Wallace, Melva Cooper, Viola Higbee and Beth Lunceford att-tnded att-tnded the YWMIA regional meet at the girls canyon home Thursday Thurs-day evening. The first held a meeting Tuesday evening at the home of their teacher, Viola Higbee. The stake missionaries are sponsoring a fireside chat Sunday Sun-day evening at 8:30 in the chapel. chap-el. Colored slides of the Hill Cumorah pageant will be shown by Fay Lunceford. Sacrament meeting will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The stake high council will present the program. Records show, futhermore, that Orem residents are using the hospital in full proportion to the population of the city. I The current drive for funds with which to pay off 1 a $100,000 indebtedness on the new hospital addition is just as much our responsibility as it is the respons- 1 ibility ot the people oi rrovo. The drive has our full sympathy and support. We are contributing generously and are earnest in urging our people here to do likewise in order that the hospital may continue to provide the facilities for the safety of our people. W. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by a group of friends and relatives rel-atives and Gay received many nice gifts. In attendance were five generations gen-erations of the family, Mrs. Shields, Mrs. Woodard, Mrs. Evelyn Green Ferguson, Mrs, Geraldine Green Gingell, and a six-month old daughter of Mn. Gingell. Mrs. Shields was born July , 15. 1867, at Lake View, a daugh-ter daugh-ter of Archibald Cunningham 'and Ellen Gillespie Shields, one of a family of 17 children.
