The junior and senior Sunday School met together for an Easter program. Speakers were Colleen Fairbanks, Stanley Cook and Kenneth Howard. The jun ior Sunday School sang a song, Clark Roberts played a trumpet solo and Helen Swan and Glena Johnson sang a duet. Eldon Ritter was the speaker at sacrament meeting Sunday evening. A special musical num ber was sung by a quartet com prising Clifton M. Pyne, Gordon Hansen, Lyle DeLange and Gilbert Gil-bert Jensen, accompanied by Marva Young. A fireside chat was held at the home of Sherman Howard on Sunday evening by the Junior Jun-ior M Men and Junior Gleaners honoring Jerry Peters who is entering the navy. Ira Tfuung demonstrated navy life. Songs were sung and an extemporan eous program presented by the group. Refreshments were serv ed. Ward Primary conference will be held Sunday, April 1 at 3:30 p.m. All parents of Primary children are urged to attend this program presented by the children. Joy O. I . , , Women's Clubs to Seled Utah's Mother of the Year Utah's 1951 mother of the year will be selected under sponsorship spon-sorship of Utah Federation of Women's Clubs at the request of Governor Lee it was announced announc-ed Friday by Mrs. I. R. Morrison, Morris-on, state president. The winner, successor to Mrs. Mary Hooper Elood Linford of Logan, will be the tate's candidate for National Mother of the year, honors to be announced on Mothers Day, May 13 in New York City. Outstanding mothers may be nominated by any individual or organization. Application blanks may be obtained from Mrs. Harold Har-old Christensen of Springville, first vice president of the Feder- ! ation and chairman for the pro-j pro-j ject. Finalists will be named from each of the 11 Utah Federation ! Districts by April 10.
