Sealed bids shall be received at the City Recorder's Office, Orem City Hall, on or before ths 12th day of September. 1950 at 10:00 a.m., at which time all bids shall be opened and publicly public-ly read for all those concerned, in Room 1 at the Orem City Hall That in connection with said sidewalk construction, it will be necessary to remove certain trees, relocate ditches, extend culverts, replace head walls and certain structures in irrigation ditches, install 100 feet of concrete con-crete flume, excavate soil in certain areas where sidewalk is to be constructed, raise sidewalk side-walk base to proper elevation, grade area where sidewalk is to be laid, construct driveways, to- feet South from the center of Section 23, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, and the Easterly boundary of said District is a point 980 feet East and 29 feet South from the East quarter corner cor-ner of Section 23, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, fronting or abutting upon the South side of 8th South Street above named, and to the entire depth of the same ownership back- South therefrom not exceeding 330 feet. A I - I . . i ill V I I ' I Resources Lecture On Utah Available To All Communities All Utah communities, desir ing to leara the e:onomic possibility poss-ibility of Utah's vast natural resources, re-sources, have an opportunity through the offer of the Natural Resources committee of the Ut ah Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives the unofficial un-official Utah Chamber of Com merce occording to H- Wright Volker, chairman of the committee. As a result of nearly two years' of survey and study throughout the state, sponsored jointly by the Natural Resources Resour-ces committee and the Indust rial Department of the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce, Commer-ce, Dr. Elroy Nelson, director of the Bureau of Business ana economic ec-onomic Research of the Univer sity of Utah, gathered pictures, facts, and figures on the re sources of every section of the state even the most remote. These have been woven into a fascinating lecture, story, and report to the people of Utah, designed de-signed to acquaint them with their own potentialities, to point out the state's possibilities, and to correct inequities or mis takes in development and pro cessing. The illustrated lecture, which can be gauged from 30 minutes to IVi hours, has been given before a number of im portant groups such as the Salt Lake City Kiwanis club, press organizations, and others It is available now fret on the community level. The com mittee will make arrangements with civic groups or any other organization making arrange ments for it providing the meeting is open to the public or before fairly large representa tive groups. Eldon Ramsey furnished vocal numbers und Charles Jones, representing the Aaronic priesthood, gave a short talk. The Relief Society held an all day work meeting Tuesday. The women worked on two quilts and in the afternoon a country store was conducted. Many items were sold and proceeds pro-ceeds will be applied on the welfare wel-fare farm. Laura Perry and Melba Cluff were co-hostesses at a gathering of the parents of missionaries now representing the ward. Elder El-der Christensen, recently returned re-turned from the French mission, spoke. An open letter was written to each missionary. The group plan to meet regularly. The following officers were named: Laura Perry, president; Karl Eagar, vice president; and Melba Clubb, secretary.
