Editor Phone 0684 Jl Ceremony at Salt Lake LDS Temple Unites Popular Young Couple Honored at a wedding reception in the Vinyard hall recently recent-ly were newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Garth Wilkinson, who were married earlier the same day at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Wilkinson is the former Miss Rhea Lowry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Lowry, and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay C. Wilkinson. President Young, were Mrs. Rulon Lowry, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Witnessing the temple ceremony which was performed by Vernon, Irene Seethaler and . Mrs Verna Lee. Joining the bride and groom Mrs- Rose Naylor by the ladies of the Book of Mormon study group of Oak Hills ward. Mrs. Helen Clark was hon and the group who accompanied red at a shower at the home of them to the temple for a wedding wed-ding dinner at the home of the groom's parents were Leland Lowry, Mrs King, Mr. and Mrs Wendell Woolsey, Rulon Lowry, j Mrs- Cleon Menlove, Mrs Reed Garlick and Mr and Mrs Jay C-Wilkinson. The reception hall was decor ated with attractive bouquets of roses. Guests were greeted at J the door by Lynn Lowry. j In the receiving line with the bride and groom and their parents were J- C. Wilkinson, i brother of the groom, best man; Mrs. Betty Lowry, matron of honor; Ardith Moore, Colleen Lewis, Beth Garlick, Jane Patten Pat-ten and Mama Muhlestein, bridesmaids. Mrs. Voln Mott entertain ed for her four old daughter. Beverly, on her birthday. The guests were Lauana Littlefield, Glenda Brown, Jay Brown, Kar en Beth Moon, Linda Madsen, Patsy Graff, Kay Therning, Norene Therning, Roger Holt, Delbert Holt and Ralph and Marilyn Mott. The bride wore a white satin wedding gown, fashioned with long sleeves, lace yoke and bustle. bus-tle. A sheer veil with lace trim fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried of bouquet of red roses. Her attendants wore pastel formals and carried nosegays of painted daisies. Mrs. Lowry wore a flowered, evening gown and Mrs. Wilkinson Wilkin-son wore a red gown, with yellow yell-ow rose corsages. Dressed as miniature bride and groom were Betty Lynn Lowry and Jerry Wilkinson. Flower girl was Linda Wilkinson. Wilkin-son. Irene Wlkinson was in charge of the gift display. Gifts were received at the door by Lowell Lowry and Russell Wilkinson-Mrs. Wilkinson-Mrs. Ivan Perry was in charge of Refreshments. Centering the refreshment table was a beautiful wedding cake created by Mrs. Verna Lee of San Diego, California, an sunt of the bride. The cake, which was over 30 inches tall, was in the shape of the Salt Lake Temple where the couple were wed. It was topped by a wax angel carved by Lamar Burnett Thirteen pounds of icing ic-ing were used to cover the cake, which took two months to make Clenn Vernon acted as master of ceremonies for the program. Musical numbers included a solo by E. B. Terry, accompanied accompan-ied by Gordon Keddington; an accordian solo by Penrod Glazier; Glaz-ier; and a number by a girls 1rio comprising Shirley Rowland, Row-land, Jane Patten and Colleeen Lewis, accompanied by Joan Lewis- Colleen Peterson gave a reading, and a toast to the bride was given by Ardith Moore. Grant Holdaway gave a toast to the groom. A male quartet -iuding Rex Kofford, Danny erts, Clifton Pyne and Dex-Wilberg, Dex-Wilberg, with John Pulham, .stler, as soloist and Eula rton as accompanist, sang one umber on the program and another an-other number for the bridal waltz. Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson will make their home in Orem. Evan Skinner, young son of Mr. and Mrs. John Skinner, has returned home from the Utah Valley hospital where he was confined for several days because of injury received from a fall. A! The Imited road show attractions of SAMSON AND DELILAH in the bigger cities have proved 'his statement. Houses have been packed at prices ranging from $1.00 to $3 00 per seat. Orem Or-em is no exception. There are still two days to see the picture, tonight and tomorrow night (Saturday). If you come between 6:15 and 7:00 p.m. you may see the picture at ma'tinee rates which is 60 cents for adults and 25 cents for children under 12. There are no junior rates. After 7:00 the prices are 25 cents for children and $100 for adults. It will be a great experience for everyone to see the picture even though the price is advanced- There will be two complete shows, one at 7:00 and the other oth-er at 9:30. Next time you come to a show be sure to walk around tha building. Yes, the water at the pool is good. It is between 80 and 84 degrees. (The water in the Salt Lake municipal pool was 70 degrees de-grees Tuesday afternoon). It is clear as crystal and is chlorinated chlorinat-ed to be safe for swimming. Any child under 13 can still join the Learn to Swim classes which are held each forenoon between 8:30 and 11:30. If there are anv bovs and girls over 14 who desire to earn their Junior or Senior Sen-ior Life Saving Certificates which are issued by the American Am-erican Red Cross, thev should register their name immediately with the life guard at the pool. You may ' obtain volley balls, horse shoes and equipment for other games 1 by applying at the office in the swimming pool. Orem Garden Club Slates Annual Birthday Party The Ed Rambeau home in Vivian Park, Provo Canyon, will be the scene of the Orem Garden club's annual birthday party which is scheduled for Sunday July 2, at 2 p.m. Events planned for the afternoon after-noon include a fish dinner and a program. The girls worked on luncheon sets which they are making as a club project. Present were Dixie Wilkinson, Zola Dickey, Mary Wilkinson, Margaret Mc-Ewan, Mc-Ewan, Mary Dickey and the club leader. Wallace pres ided at Sacrament meeting on Sunday evening. Dean Cordner received his graduation certificate certif-icate from Primary from Delia Aiken, president. The Elders quorum presented the program with Rulon Mansfield conducting. conduct-ing. Mrs- Don McOmie played an organ solo, and speakers were Dr. Matthew Mansfield, Fenton Prince and Thomas Biggs. Prayers were by Leland Prestwich and Goodman Aiken- All ward members are invited to the MIA dance and social which will be held Friday evening ev-ening in the recreation hall. This is the first of three activities which the MIA will have during the summer months, and will be sponsored on the budget plan. All members of the Adult Aaronic priesthood are invited to attend the stake social for adult members of the Adult Aaronic priesthood which will be held Saturday evening at Canyon Glen.
