Reliable work at reasonable prices hr.s gained for the Mower Roofing Co. of Provo a reputation reputat-ion that has brought them an ever increasing patronage, and which has resulted in their satisfactory satis-factory service to home-owners and business builders alike. We have all probably heard the story of a man who would not fix his roof when it rained because it was too wet, and who did not consider it necessary when it wasn't raining. Many of us laugh at that joke and continue contin-ue to follow the same ridiculous line of philosophy. It becomes all the more ridiculous when one considers the outstanding Geneva Steel Plant Tours to Begin Tuesday Conducted tours through Geneva Gen-eva Steel plant will begin for the 1950 season next Tuesday and will continue until further notice except for Memorial Day, May 30 and July Fourth, it was announced this week by company com-pany officials. This year will mark the eighth during which tours have been sponsored by Geneva. Since the inauguration of the program in 1942, more than 125,000 persons have visited the plant. Officials said that arrangements arrange-ments for Tuesday tours can be made by calling or writing to the Training Division of Geneva Steel Company by the Friday preceding the Tuesday tour. TRUCK HEADQUARTERS 57-75 West Center Provo, Utah fi., From where I sit ... Joe Marsh County officers got a notice from the government not long ago, asking ask-ing them to change the name of Mud Lake. Seems it's a pond, not a take, by government standards. Because it lies entirely inside our town limits, we asked to do the name-changing ourselves. Figured we'd think up a brand-new name. Mud Lake's really not very muddy sort of pretty, in fact County people said go ahead, so we held a Town Meeting. Everyone suggested something. Windy Taylor Tay-lor thought "Taylor Pond" would be nice, because his place borders Mud Lake Gets "Cleared Up" it for about 30 feet! But we finally fin-ally decided to call it "Turtle Pond" in honor of the real owners. From where I sit, naming that pond wasn't the most important thing in the world but the way we did it iro. Everyone offered his opinion and then the majority vote decided it. That's the way it should be whether it concerns naming a pond, or having the right to enjoy a friendly glass of beer or ale if and when we choose.
