Week of Feb. 27 The Orem City council advertised for bids to construct a two million-gallon reservoir for city culinary water. The reservoir is to be constructed of steel. Jay Ovard of American Fork opened his shoe repair shop here at 550 South State. Thieves broke into B and H Pharmacy No. 2 to escape with $1000 in cash and narcotics. The Junior girls of Timpanog-os Timpanog-os ward entertained their mothers moth-ers at a Rose Tying Festival. Week of March 6 The Chamber of Commerce, at a membership meeting, voted to initiate a referendum vote on the zoning of state street for bus iness and residential building. Lincoln high school thespians were getting ready to present their competitive play: "Growing "Grow-ing Pains." City councilmen agreed to enforce en-force strictly the ordinance requiring re-quiring all dogs in the city to be licensed. Winter damage to Orem fruit trees was described as heavy by Joel T. Barlow, assistant county agent. The city council prepared to defend in the district court its ordinance making the sale of beer illegal on Sunday.
