The Kowieys live at 850 South State in a large attractive red brick house. Grant, a carpenter by trade, did most of the work building his house while working with Frank Woffinden, Orem contractor. At the present time he is working on the Scott Peterson home in Pleasant View. Deer Hunter An out-of-door enthusiast, Mr. Rowley is an ardent hunter who lives from hunting season to hunting season for a chance at a buck. This year he plans to go with a party on horseback up Mount Timpanogos for the great hunt. The Rowleys have a large garden gar-den in the rear of their house which has occupied a good deal of their time this summer. Weeding, watering and picking raspberries, strawberries, peas, beans, tomatoes and corn are worthwhile, they say, however, because nothing can equal the taste of fresh home-grown berries ber-ries and vegetables. Three Children The knack of growing things 'isn't limited to a garden at the 'Rowley home- Three lovely 'children Joyce, 8; Douglas, 6-and 6-and Linda, 1 attest to that fact! Joyce and Douglas attend the Spencer school, but Linda keeps her mother company at home. Mrs. Fern Rowley is an enthusiastic en-thusiastic home-maker. She enjoys en-joys cooking and sewing for her children and planning parties for friends. She also finds time to act as room mother for the third grade at Spencer. She is a visiting Relief Society teacher in the Geneva ward and she is also Orem stake Primary Child-ren's Child-ren's Friend director. During the past summer she taught in the Geneva ward Primary. . Talented terpsichoreans, Mr. and Mrs. Rowley were MIA dance directors in the Geneva ward two years ago, and they have consented to take that responsibility res-ponsibility again this season. Summer Trips The Rowleys were fortunate this summer to be able to do some traveling. They took one trip to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, for a family reunion, another trip to Cedar Breaks, Navajo Lake, Zions Canyon and Bryce Canyon. Next year they hope to take the whole family on a vacation vac-ation to Yellowstone Park. ' If Orem is to continue to grow, more couples like Grant and Fern Rowley, who can not only build houses, but make homes as well, will be needed. Mr. and Mrs Albert Christ-man Christ-man visited here on Sunday. They came from Soda Springs, Idaho to be in attendance at the missionary farewell given in to their home here. honor of their cousin. Gwyn? Christman. They expect to make their home in Idaho until the end of the year and then return What A Man -This Hired Hand!
