Mr- and Mrs. Philo Edwards had a lovely family gathering at their home last week when all their family of 13 children and all their grandchildren were present. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cameron and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don Edwards Ed-wards and family, Mr. and Mrs. Max Edwards and daughter of Price, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Edwards Ed-wards and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Brady and family, and Alene, LaVell, Lewis, Wayne, Shirley, Ray and Janice Edwards. LaVell Edwards will return to Logan on Sunday to resume his studies at the USAC after spending the holidays here. Christmas day visitors at the THURSDAY, DECEMBER 30. 1948 home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bliss were Mr. and Mrs. Max Edwards and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bliss of Drager-ton. Drager-ton. For the first time in nine years the family of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Clark were all home together to-gether on Christmas day. A holiday dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Clark and children, Merlin, Kathleen and Linda Sue of Moorcroft, Wyoming; Wyom-ing; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bcnsen and daughter Lynn of Canand-aigua, Canand-aigua, New York; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. DeWolf and daughter, Joella and son, Clark of Glen-dale, Glen-dale, California; James and Mary Jean Clark, Mr. dork's mother, Mrs. Selina Ashton and Mr. and Mrs. Clark. Speakers in church on Sunday Sun-day evening were Mrs- Doreen Morhke and Reed Moss. A special spec-ial musical number was a clarinet clar-inet solo, "The Holy City" played play-ed by Calvin Marshall, accompanied accom-panied by Charles Hanks. Alene Ewards sang a vocal solo, accompanied acc-ompanied by Raquel Bennett. A family Christmas party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C H .Poulson. Gifts were exchanged and dinner served to 22. Present were Mr. and Mrs. T. C. -Chidester and daughter, Erma of Salt Lake Cit, Mr. and Mrs- Lawrence Palmer and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Wilkinson Wilkin-son and family, Eva Poulson, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Smith and Ida Chadwick of Lehi. Class work of the. Relief Society So-ciety for 1949 will commence next Tuesday afternoon at 3 p. m. when the theology lesson will be presented by Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Poulson. All women of the ward are invited to attend meetings. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Pyne and Mrs- Lurleen Loveless left today, Thursday for Long Beach California where they will visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Pyne (Peggy Loveless). Orem Women's Club To Hear Expert on Russia Jay Jeppson, student of pol itical science at Brigham Young University and a visitor in Russ ia during the war, will speak at next Wednesday's meeting of the Orem Women's Club. He will discuss the organization and structure of the Russian government and will tell of his personal experiences in Russia. Committee members in charge char-ge of the program are Mrs. Max Pedersen and Mrs. Ted Voelker. Hostesses are Mrs. Boyd Asay and Mrs. B. M. Jolley. In charge of special music is Mrs- Homer McEwan. Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard Judd will recite the litany. The meeting is set for 3:30 at the Scera lounge. LDS GIRLS COMPLETE WELFARE PROJECT A group of LDS girls of the Vermont ward met at the home of their leader, Mrs. LaPriel Louder on Tuesday evening to turn in articles they had completed com-pleted for their welfare project.
