Tin. young couple were married on Nov. 24 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Mr. and Mrs. Adelbert Hatch and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kearl were present at the wedding wed-ding ceremony. Mrs. Dorothy Kearl and Esther Es-ther LeVitre, sisters of the groom entertained at a luncheon honoring the newlywed couple at the Wayne Kearl home. Mrs- Leland Dean, mother of the bride, entertained at a bridal shower at the Women's club house in Prove A large group of friends and relatives enjoyed a series of progressive games- Social Group Enjoys Pleasant Afternoon Members of the Orem Social Group enjoyed a pleasant afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. Pearl Jepperson on Friday. Sewing and visiting were the diversion. Refreshments were served to Mrs. W. H. Kofford, Mrs. Clar-nce Clar-nce Kofford, Mrs. Orson Prest-wich, Prest-wich, Mrs- Allen Bellows. Legion, Auxiliary Hosts at Party Members of the Orem American Amer-ican Legion Post 72 and the Legion Auxiliary held meetings on Wednesday evening. Final plans wer e discussed for the party being given tonight, Thur sday. All veterans and their partners are invited as special guests. The party will also hon or Mr. and Mrs. Harry Butler, who are moving to Provo. In charge of arrangements for the evening of dancing, refreshments re-freshments and program are Mr. and Mrs. Glade Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bench and Barbara Broadhead. Club Members See Demonstration A demonstration of weed painting, given by Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence York, was a feature of the meeting of the Varieties Club held at the home of Mrs. Edward Pyne on Friday evening. Plans were discussed for the club's Christmas party which will be held on Dec. 17 at the home of Mrs. Mario Peterson. Lunch was served to Mrs Melvin Park, Mrs. Lester Heal- ey, Mrs. Leo Christensen. Sisters Marry Brothers In Temple Ceremony On November 17 the Salt Lake Temple was the scene of , ,, ' ... . . , ,,. a double wedding. Naomi Llda I Patterson became the bride of J. Bent Johnson, and Leone Veola Patterson was united with Georpe M. Johnson. The brides are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Patterson of 601 East 3rd South, and the sons of Mr. and Mrs- J- Arthur Johnson of 864 Menlo Ave. The grooms served in the navy together as radio technicians, techni-cians, and returned last February Febru-ary from L. D. S. missions in the Southern States, where they spent their last two months together to-gether as companions. A reception was given by the brides parents that evening in the Ninth Ward Recreation Hall Everything about the scene of the ' reception contributed to create an atmosphere truly befitting be-fitting an affair of this nature. The hall was decorated with lovely flowers in the windows and elsewhere throughout th room, and a seven piece orchestra orches-tra furnished the music for the occasion which will long be remembered re-membered by all who attended. The guests were received by the ushers, Jesse Carter, Wayne Roskelly, and Claude Morris after which they were greeted by the members of the bridal party beginning with the hostess, Mrs. Newton Tuttle. an aunt of the brides. Then they met the brides' and . grooms' parents, Mr. and Mrs- Robert T. Patterson and Mr- and Mrs. J. Arthur Johnson. Serving as best man was the brother of the grooms, Arthur H. Johnson-Then Johnson-Then came J. BentJpJfi0"n hiS-feriSeTthe former Leone V. Patterson. Matron of honor was Mrs. R. Robert Patterson, Pat-terson, sister-in-law of the brides. Brides maids were Miss Jewel E. Patterson, Miss Sarah E. Patteron, Mrs. Arthur H. Johnson. Mrs. Leora M. Gertch, and Miss Letitia P. Patterson. All of the sisters of the brides and grooms served as brides maids except Edna B. Patterson who is away on an L- D- S-mission S-mission in the Central States. At the end of the reception line was the flower girl, sweet little threfrjyear-old Jolene Gertsch, a niece of the grooms Later in the evening Patriarch Patri-arch George Robinson spoke briefly about temple marriages. This was followed by the bridal dance with all the bridal party participating. Everyone will remember the sweet little flower flow-er girl scattering flowers in front of the brides and grooms as they began the dance. The waltz was to the tune of "I Love You Truly" and was climaxed by the forming of the heart by those in the bridal party. Refreshments were served in a room set off by two lovely wedding cakes. Each was beau tifully decorated with roses and a pair of love doves on each side. Something unique was no ticed in these cakes . In place of the usual bride and groom at the top was a beautiful minia ture temple. Among the many guests at tending were Mrs. Willard Atkin and Daughter Alene from Tooele, Mr. and Mrs. J Porter Jones, a great uncle and aunt of the brides, Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Maw, parents of the governor, Patriarch E. A. Child, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Barker City. Ogden, and Maple-ton. Maple-ton. The brides gowns were of lovely white stain with finger tip veil and set off by bouquets of roses and Gardenias. Tho matron of honor wore a lovely yellow gown and the bridesmaids' brides-maids' dresses were of pink-The pink-The flower girl was clad in a beautiful blue dress with a little corsage of roses and carnations. car-nations. After the ceremony the Bridal Brid-al Party enjoyed a lovely wedding wed-ding breakfast at the home of the grooms' parents.
