She came from Monticel-lo, Monticel-lo, Utah, to attend the funeral of Mrs. Ora Cunningham. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Todd were honored at a birthday party at their home on Saturday eve ning. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Cloud Hunting of Am erican Fork, Mrs. Edna West of Pleasant Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Ferry Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Clar Harris. Mrs. Oreen Walker entertain ed at a quilting bee on Wednes-"day. Wednes-"day. A delicious hot dinnner was served to Jennie Harris, Rosa Baxter, Beth Baxter, Blanche Dittmore, Dorothy Johnson and Blanche Nielsen. Mrs. Aurilla Smith is 111 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Av-era Av-era Smith In Pleasant Grove. High score prize was awarded to Blanche Nielson. , , Little Lloyd Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson, is recovering from a broken leg and bruises suffered when he was hit by a passing car. The accident happened two weens ago when the three-year-old became be-came confused and ran into the way of the car. . A cottage meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Cook on Friday evening, under the diretcion of A. H. Lowe, John Thacker, and Dallas Rowley. Row-ley. Wendell Gillman was in charge of the meeting. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. John Thacker, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Lowe, Dallas Rowley, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Gillman, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Smith and Mr. and Mrs. David Illingsworth. , The Orem stake minstrel show was presented in the ward on Thursday evening. They spent the day visiting vis-iting with their daughter and sister, Mrs. Inez Lewis, whose birthday anniversary occured on that day. Gifts were presented to Mrs. Lewis and a lovely birthday birth-day dinner enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Carter and children, Brent and Naoma, left Sunday morning for a two- weeks vacation. They plan to visit friends and relatives in Pheonix, Arizona, Los Angeles and San Francisco., Primary officers and teachers whq, attended the Primary Con ference in Salt Lake City on Saturday were President erl Johnson, Ina Buckner, Violet Brown, Laurel Gibson, Neda Boswell, Ina Beardall, Rebecca Jones, Bernice Kirkwood, Blanch Wyld and Emma Gordon. . Twelve officers and teachers of the Primary Association attended at-tended the Union meeting held in Pleasant View ward Thurs day evening. Plans for the spring festival were discussed and Instructions In-structions given by Stake Primary Pri-mary leaders. Mrs. Laura Weeter gave the Teachers' Topic and Mrs. Lucy Clyde gave the Theology lesson in Relief Society on Tuesday. Next Tuesday will be work and business meeting. Mrs. Mable Tucker will have charge of the quilting. Luncheon will be served. serv-ed. Camp Grand View DUP were delightfully entertained at the home of Mrs. Hettie Carter on Thursday. Mrs. Zeda Emmons and Dora Hartley were co-host esses. April fool ideas were carried car-ried out in the decorations in the entertaining rooms and the luncheon which attributed much to the merriment of the group. Mrs. Zeda Jackson read the history his-tory of her grandparents, William Wil-liam Wholley and Hannah Brooks Jackson. Mary P. Davis read a number of April and spring poems and the lesson was given by Myrl Day, with Laurel Gibson assisting. Little David Carter entertained the group with selections on the electric guitar. A delicious luncheon was served to twenty members. Mrs. Nettie Brown, County DUP historian, and Mrs. Laurel Gibson, County class leader, attended at-tended the Convention of the DUP at Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City on Monday. Mrs. Theora Haws is critically ill in the Utah Valley Hospital and prayer circles are being held in her behalf. There will be no church ser. vices conducted in the ward oq Sunday as Stake Conference U being held in Scera and Timpan. ogos ward church. IMMUNIZATION CLINIC SET An immunization clinic at which typhoid boosters and a series of three shots: small pox, boosters for whooping cough and boosters for diphtheria will be given, has been scheduled for Tuesday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Orem City Hall, according to Miss Flo Beck, Orem Or-em nurse.
