In passing, the thief also appropriated Mrs. Murphy's purse, in which she had 15 cents, a stamp, two hair pins and some samples of dress goods. A suit has been commenced in the Fourth district court by the Rio Grande Western Railway company against Charles Lundquist and L. F. Olsen to recover possession of a strip of land about twenty feet wide and four feet deep, situated near Thistle station which it is alleged is occupied by a portion of a saloon building erected y defendants. The land is alleged to be a portion of the plantitl company's right of way and Its occupancy a aforesaid prevents the railway company from fencing Its right of way, and obliges it to use much greater care to prevent injury and the opeiation of its liues of railroad rail-road is made dangerous both to plantitl and the public. Reese, was choked to death this afternoon by a piece of candy being lodged in his throat. The accident occured at the home of W. D. Bowen, where a number of little ones were eatiug candy.
