The piece will be presented ou Thursday, Dec. 30th. Some or the best Home Dramatic talent of Springville will be seen in the cast. This Is the first time this pi-sce has been played here, and will no doubt draw the g to I h iu-jo it deserves. de-serves. The company is a very strong one. Mrs. Don C. Johnson and Miss El He Huntington entertained a few friends very pleasantly, Tuesday evening, at the former' residence on State street. The principal feature of the entertainment enter-tainment was a little play called "The Court of Oberon, or the Three Wishes." This was a very pretty, amusing piece, In which twelve little folks and young people took part, and was very nicely rendered. The players play-ers showed the effects of careful and painstaking training, and revealed quite a. little talent on the part of the little folks. The piece developed the fact also that fairies know how to dance and enjoy the Virginia reel. After the play light refreshments were served and geueral conversation Indulged In for au hour or more. The party was la honor of the Womcu's Club. Santa Claus Is still at headquarters Peterson's Drug store and old Santa has enjoyed his trip to Spring-vlllc Spring-vlllc very much. He says that he never before saw so many pleased faces as he has seen this week. The Baptist Sunday school gave a children's Christmas exercise at the Baptist hall Sunday evening. Phil Tuckett is in town again and says that he thinks he will stay here during the rest of the winter season. The Third ward primary association associa-tion gave a dance for the little folks Saturday afternoon, at the city hall. Just the kind to put frost on Santa Claus's whiskers. V. C. Seheu has moved In from White River. Colo., and will be citizen of Sprlngville for the winter. He -has rented the Frank Craudall residence. The weekly dances given at the First ward meeting house will be given ou Friday evenings from now on, Instead of Thursday eveniugs, of heretofore. The Pleasant Hour club will give another of their dances at the Reynolds Rey-nolds hall Christmas eve. The Spcrry orchestra, of Nephi, has been engaged for the occasion. The dance 'given at the First ward meeting house last Thursday night was a grand success. The Shepard quidrille band furnished the music. A good time aud general order prevailed. pre-vailed. Cyrus Sanford, Springville's oldest resident, was tendered a surprise party last Thursday night in honor of his 84th birthday by his relatives aud friends. About tilty people were present. The dance at the Reynolds hall Friday evening was one of the best dances given there this season. A large crowd was in attendance and everything went of as merrily as a marriage bell. Shcpard's quadrille baud furnished the music. The last meeting of the Literary and Debating society, held last Friday Fri-day evening, was far from what could be called a success. Several of the officers wer abseut, as were several of the members who were down on the program, causing the meeting for that evening to be very near a total failur.
