Heating up the Chloe Lane PCPAF Big Stars, Bright Nights ; outdoor concert series, Isaak's gre- ; garious stage presence, smooth vocals and sparkling sense of humor will certainly make for a steamy ; evening on this particular bright ; night. Best-known for the hit song, "Wicked Game" (and its accompanying accompa-nying ultra-sexy music video), Isaak not only charms the ladies, but also puts on a spectacular show. According to The Los Angeles Times, "Isaak is the ultimate entertainer enter-tainer from the minute he takes the stage in some over-the-top sequined suit to when he entertains his audience audi-ence with quick-witted banter between songs. Clearly his shows are a celebration." The singer, musician, actor and TV star released his debut album "Silvertone" in 1985, a few years prior to taking small roles in various films. Now the subject of his own Showtime scries, "The Chris Isaak Show," he's managed to combine his two careers. Whether attired in sequins or not, Isaak still shines on stage. His ability to rock, as well as perform heartfelt ballads, has earned him devoted fans in addition to gold and platinum records. "No one can convey that 'you ripped my heart out, chopped it up, stir fried it with onions and served it back to me' feeling better than Isaak can," writes The Contra Costa Times. Although the persona of Chris Isaak has become the love-battered, lonely guy, his riveting stage pies- ence is anything but melancholy. He ; jokes with his band and the audience audi-ence in between songs from his two decades of records, ranging from "Speak of the Devil" to "Always Got Tonight." Borrowing from rock icons like Elvis and Buddy Holly, Isaak can swoon with the best of them while maintaining something unique and cool, even in the new millennium. Proceeds from Isaak's Aug. 1 show will help support Park City Performing Arts Foundation's Student Outreach Program. Bach year, PCPAF offers free master classes, workshops and performances performanc-es by renowned artists to students throughout Summit County. Members of the Park City High School jazz band will perform for Isaak prior to his show. The Chloe Lane PCPAF Big 11 PHOTO COURTESY OF NEAL PRESTON w -fi I X") wm?
