State Representative David Ure, R-Kamas, stopped by for a brief moment, but didnt have time to read with the children. With Krispy Kreams and juice in hand, students listened patiently, patient-ly, eager to have a visitor in their classroom. "I like the books they pick," said second-grader Sam Dahl. Dads and Donuts began a few years ago to provide an opportunity opportu-nity for fathers to visit their kids at school. Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) treasurer Nancy Barth chairs the program and says the students look forward for-ward to the event. "Kids just love having dads come into the classroom," she said. Kernan says the interaction between students and adults is important. "It's healthy. Children and adults can talk with each other and enjoy each other's time," he ' f: ' ' V ; VV J -f ? if?
