'Hie dogs seem to be pretty fond of outdoor adventuring Ux. but work, schedules, agenda conflicts and area bans on pets have a way of making human recreation recre-ation a separate event from canine recreation. Trisha Hipskind and Chris "Jonesy" Jones have created a solution for man's best friend. With the help of their own four-legged friends, they have created Hank & Bullitt's K9 Adventure, a fitness club for dogs. "It's not just grabbing a leash and walking around the block," said Hipskind. "It's hiking on trails, mountain biking, crosscountry cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. It makes it more interesting for the dogs." In addition to the physical benefits, ben-efits, the dogs get a chance to socialize with other dogs in small groups while they take in the smells and sights of the new territories terri-tories that accompany each adventure. adven-ture. Variety is one of the keys to the business and to keeping their furry "clients" happier and healthier, said Hipskind. The company will also soon add a school bus to transport trans-port their clients in a fun, and adventurous, way. Duration is another important facet: the dogs participate in activities activ-ities that can take up to 90 minutes during the week and three to four hours on the weekend field trips. In addition. Hank & Bullitt's picks up the dogs from their homes, which can almost double the time it spends in the company of others during the day. "Not to mention they don't have to hold it all day," said Jones. On the weekends.
