US-40: No precipitation is expected during the weekend and into the middle of next week. Dry and sunny weather will dominate the region for the weekend and into early next week under a strong area of high pressure. High temperatures will be well above normal nor-mal throughout the weekend and into next week. On Oct. 18, 1910, a hurricane in Florida caused 70-mph northeast north-east winds on Florida's west coast. These winds pulled water out of Tampa Bay and the Hillsboro River. Water levels fell 9 feet below mean sea level. Forty ships ran aground.
