Priscilla Turley and Lydia Partridge." The keynote speaker is President James E. - Faust, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latlec-day Saints, also a descendant of Amasa Lyman. He will speak at 3 p.m on Aug. 2 at the Fillmore Stake Center. From Lyman's eight wives there were 37 children and 234 grandchildren. Efforts are being made to prepare family rosters for the 167 of these grandchildren who had offspring. It is projected that the descendants of Amasa approximate 25,000 people, with over 5,000 of them expected to attend this reunion. 7 Two Memorial Services will be held; one at 10 "a.m. on Aug. 1 at the Oak City Cemetery and LDS Chapel and the other at 10 a.m. on Aug. 2 at the Fillmore Cemetery and South Fillmore LDS Chapter. Other events include historical vignettes on the eight wives and a detailed historical review of the life of Lyman. The children and youth will enjoy pioneer games and competitions as well as authentic pioneer wagon rides. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CREATE A SNYDERVILLE BASIN PUBLIC TRANSIT DISTRICT The Board of County Commissioners of Summit County hereby declares its intention to create a Snyderville Basin Public Transit District for mass transportation and related services within the boundaries described on the map below. The District shall have the legal authority to levy property taxes and impose a sales and use tax to fund the services provided. Such taxes can be imposed only after an election of the qualified voters residing within the District's boundaries. In addition, the District shall have the legal authority to charge fees for services. A public hearing regarding the creation of this District shall be conducted on Wednesday, July, 16, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sheldon D. Richins Building, Kimball Junction, Snyderville Basin, Summit County, Utah. Any persons desiring to attend and be heard regarding the creation of the District may be present and speak either in favor of or in opposition to creating the District. Protests against the creation of the District may be received and if owners of at least 25 of the total private land within the applicable area, which is equal in value to at least 15' of the value of all private real property within the applicable area, or at least 25 of registered voters residing within the applicable area, as measured by the number of votes cast in the last general election for governor, the Board of County Commissioners is obligated to either abandon the creation of the District or exclude the applicable area. The Board of County Commissioners will accept protests ' against the creation of the District either orally at the public hearing or in writing received by the Board of County Commissioners on or before noonMonday, September 15, 2003.
