JAMAICA FETE NEXT TUESDAY i I ; The welcome mat is being rolled out for the people . of Bingham and vicinity to attend the gala Jamaica celebration to be held in Holy Rosary parish on Tuesday, June 25. at BCO Hall. Final plans have been made and according to Mrs. Paz Galle-gos, Galle-gos, general chairman, festivities are scheduled to commence at 12 noon with a bake and handwork sale. A youngsters games party will ibe held .from noon to 5 p.m. Hot dog3, cold drinks and candy booth will be in operation to satisfy hungry appetites. At 4:30 p.m. a Spanish dinner featuring homemade enchiladas and tamales will be held. Tickets will be sold at the door but are also available from any Guada-lupana Guada-lupana Society member at $1.50 per adult and 75 cents for children. child-ren. Eight o'clock p.m. will find little " Miss Karen Bianchi, daughter dau-ghter of IMr. and Mrs. Hugo Bianchi, and winner of the "Miss Jamaica" contest receiving her official title and crown. Immediately following the crowning will be the parish party. par-ty. Prizes to be given away during dur-ing intermission are: strato-lounger strato-lounger contour chair, 10 piece iron cookware set and hand painted dinner cloth, napkins and apron set by the Carmelite Nuns. They are now on display in the BCO Hall window. |
