PAGE THREE i LOCAL NOTES The Firemen and Auxiliary din-ner group Held their annual "con-joint Thanksgiving dinner Monday night. A delicious dinner wai en-joyed after which five hundred wa played. Prizes were won by Mrs. Ron M. Cushinx for the ladies and Robert King for the men. Boyd J. Nerdin won the bingo prize. On the committee arranging the din-ner were Mr. and Mrs. Nerdih, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Hosmer Peterson. 34 were present. Mr. and Mrs. Attelio Azzelio and family of Murray spent the day Tuesday visiting with Attelio'a mo-ther, Mrs. Pina Azzelio. Miss Patti Fike of Lot Angeles, Calif., is visiting here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Filce. Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cowdell enjoyed a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Cowdell of Murray. Miss Joyce DeCol of Salt Lake City visited Saturday and Tuesday afternoon with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol and family. Albert Ray were dinner guests Sunday evening at the home of Mr. - and Mrs. Henry Jensen of Midvale. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley DeLeshe of Sandy. Monday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Wright attended a lunch-eon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kemp of Salt Lake City. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Art Fike Tuesday evtning were Mr. and Mr. Marion Cowdell and children, Sherlene, Terry and Kathy of Kearnt. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Sax visit-ed Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don McPhee of Salt Lake City. Visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pete PasquaU and family, JoAnn and Paul, were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Nick LaBoa and family, Linda, Mark, Kevin and Keith of Kearns. Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Merz and rhildren, Sherry Lynn, Jolene and Michele, and Mr. and Mrt. Eddie Mann and children, J. E., Chris-tine and-- . Linda of . Kearnt visited with Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Robison and daughters, Jean and LaDean, Sunday. ' Mrs. Bob Groves and son, Wade, and Mrs. Larry Sax visited with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Foreman and family of Kearnt Monday after-noon. Mr. and Mrt. Bill Dentley and children of Kearns visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol and family. Mr. and Mr. Raymond Cowdell attended a turkey dinner given Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Norman of Orem. Sunday Mr. and Mrt. Verio Kendrick and ton, Brad, and Mr. and Mrt. J. D. Stoddart and grand-daughter, Kathleen, motored to Providence to attend a family din-ner given in honor of their par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kendrick who left Tuesday to spend the win-ter in California. Mrs. Shirley Rager and children, Danny, Kenny and Rochelle of West Jordan are spending the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Cheever. Mrs. Louis DeCol wishes to an-nounce that she is now the Avon representative for Copperton. Mrs. Calvin Foreman and child-ren, Billy, Denny, Bobby, and Lyn-ett- e of Herriman were dinner guests Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrt. Albert Ray. Richard and Kathleen Stoddart, children of Mr .and Mrt. Don Stod-dart of Kearnt, are apending the week visiting with their grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Stoddart. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Crovet en-tertained at family dinner at their home on Thanksgiving day for the following family members I Mr. and Mrs. William K. Little Douglas Walters, son of Mr. and Mr. Dick Walters of Lead Mine, who was confined in St. Mark's hospital for a week, was brought home from the hospital last Saturday morning. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. i. D. Stoddart entertained at a irthday party for their grandson, Richard Stoddart of Kearns who was celebrating hit fifth birthday. Betidet the above, those enjoying ice cream and cake were Don Sto-ddart Jr. and daughter, Kathleen, of Kearnt, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Stoddart and children, Sheri, Char-main- e and Mark of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Ronald Huntsman and son. COPPERTON WARD DINNER SET FOR DECEMBER 10 Copperton Ward it holding a ward dinner at the Copperton ward house on Wednesday, Dec. 0, it was announced this week. Serving will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are: adults $1.50, children 75 cents or family $5.00. Everyone welcome to come. Mr. and Mrt. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Knudsen entertained Thursday at Thanks-giving dinner for Mr. and Mrt. E. V. Knudsen, Dr. John E. Knudsen and daughters, Karen find Krista, of El Paso. Tex., and Mrs. Minerva Smith of Salt Lake City. Members of Copperton Ward were delighted Sunday night with the performance "Praise Ye the jLord". Over 75 people took part and made it a huge success. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Winn and children, Margie, Christine, Jane and Chuck were dinner guests Sat-urday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Barnett of Salt Lake City. Enjoying records and refresh-ments Tuesday were Christine Johnson, Christine Winn, Claudia Long, Mitzi Muhar, Barbara Jimas and Marjorie Garrett. The fun was had at the home of Christine John-son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Johnson.. Copperton Ward Young Wo-men's MIA have been asked to sell magazines as a money-makin- g pro-ject. The money raised will be used to build the new MIA home "Wild-wood- " in Provo canyon. This it to be a recreation center for the girls. We would like everyone to help support this project.
