Under the proposal by the Salt Lake-based Lake-based University Properties, a more esthetically pleasing Texaco would be built along with a second yet-to-be-named development. While the Planning Commission has shown enthusiasm for the architecture of the new gas station, they have raised concerns about setbacks, traffic and the unknown second sec-ond development. ROGER GLAZIER' PAfiX RECORD County Sheriff's Report The Summit County Sheriffs Office received 172 calls during the week of July 3 to July 10. including seven traffic accidents, eight lockouts. 13 alarms, six attempts-to-locate and nine welfare wel-fare checks. The holiday weekend also kept the Sheriff's Office busy with 17 complaints over fire-w fire-w orks. Other calls included: On July 3. a Wagon Wheel Way resident complained of numerous large dump trucks going down her street and using air brakes. A Henefer resident reported teenage boys racing on all-terrain vehicles near her home on July 3. A fire was reported in Henefer near the landfill road on July 3. A Hoytsville Road resident reported a suspicious small pickup pick-up up driving up and down the road very slowly on July 3. An Oakley resident reported kids in a Dodge pickup throwing ketchup packets in the road on July 4. A West Valley resident reported report-ed the possible' theft of a 1971 Peterbilt dump truck on July 4. A Francis resident reported a fire started a welder hitting oil in a workshop in Francis on July 4. A Lehi resident reported that his vehicle was broken into at Beaver Meadows and several items were stolen on July 4. A Weber Canyon reported that her cousin assaulted her while" at the Oaklev Rodeo on July 4. A Silver Springs Road resident resi-dent reported a container of fireworks fire-works was placed by her front door and the door burned on July 5. A Daybreaker Drive resident reported the front window of their house was shot out on July 5. A Heath, Texas resident reported his rental car was hit by another vehicle while parked on the street on July 5. A domestic disturbance in the North Summit area was reported on July 5. The Rue 21 store at Kimball Junction reported a female subject sub-ject was seen shoplifting on Julv 6. A North Summit resident reported that her ex-husband drove by her house and shouted threats on July 6. On July 6, a Kilby Road resident resi-dent reported a white Nissan and a red Ford pickup were racing around a nearby parking lot. The caller also suspected the two drivers were drinking. Geary Construction in Coalville reported a male that fell and dislocated his arm on July 7. Smith's Food and Drug at Kimball Junction reported a hit-and-run accident in the store's parking lot on July 7. A Hoytsville Road resident reported a suspicious Dodge pickup driving bv her house on July 7. An Angus Court resident reported a large fight down the street from her on July 8. The Echo Port of Entry on the Utah-Wyoming border reported attempted break-ir.s of semitrailers semi-trailers while the truckers slept on July 9. A Parley's Lane resident reported finding a suicide note and a length of hose with a glove wrapped around it in a wooded area near his home on July 9. The Chevron at Kimball Junction reported a Jeep Cherokee that skipped on $33 in eas on Julv 10.
