The Mucker Olde Boys, (M.O.B.) went down to the University of Utah old boys 13-7 as the U. of U. maintained possession of the coveted Sam English Memorial trophy. The M.O.B. struck for an early try, thanks in part due to a long run by Dr. Jeffrey Kelley. But the U. staged a late comeback with a converted try followed by two penalty kicks for the 13-7 victory margin. In true Olde Boy spirit, the match wasn't allowed to start until a sufficient suffi-cient happy hour took place. English, who split his rugby career between Park City and the U. of U., was hit by a car while helping a stranger change a tire and died from his injuries. Each year on Memorial Saturday the teams meet to remember. In another rugby match held at City Park, the Park City Muckers' opponent, the Northern Utah Mud Ducks, were a no-show, but there were enough players from the Haggis club in Salt Lake City present pres-ent to assemble a team.
