Smith, whose father, Spence Smith, was the course architect and designer, is hoping the course plays more difficult this year. He would like the winning score to be par after three days, but Senior Tour officials offi-cials would like it to be around five-under. Some of the Senior Tour players play-ers may be dreading hole No. 4, a 222-yard par 3. the fifth toughest hole on the Tour. The shortest par 3 will be No. 7, 187 yards. Maybe it's a good thing the par 3s are so long, it will give the huge crowds more room to see the legends of golf.
