Show Wednesday April 1 6, 1 997 The Park Record A-17 Briefs Trio headed to International Science Fair Fatherdaughter sock hop at TMMS Treasure Mountain Middle School will be hosting a fatherdaughter sock hop on Monday, April 21. The dance will be held in the school's multi-purpose room from 7-9 p.m. Fathers, brothers, uncles, and grandfathers who are over 16 years old are invited to attend. Admission is a dozen cookies, vegetables or some other type of snack. Parent reading workshop Jeremy Ranch Elementary will host a meeting in order to give parents tips on how to help their children to improve their reading skills at home The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in the school's media center. All parents are invited to attend. Volunteer appreciation appreci-ation at JRE On Friday. April 18 at 1:30 p.m. Jeremy Ranch Elementary will hold its volunteer vol-unteer appreciation dessert at the school. All parents who have volunteered vol-unteered at the school are invited to attend. Bacteria: Phase ,v" O'Driscoll has been working on the project, making modifications, modifica-tions, since she first entered the Crosby proiect in the high school's science sci-ence tan her freshman veal. Ihis strategy is dangerous because. "It gives the bacteria the programming for the antibiotics." Her science project is closely linked lo her future aspirations. She said. O'Driscoll is also taking night classes at the firefighter's school. She takes her certification final exam next week and if all goes well she will be a qualified firefighter fire-fighter by Ihe beginning of the summer. She said. "I used to ride with the Park City Fire Department with Ihe science intern class but I changed il to the Park Cil 1'. of ('. Health Center."
