Along the way you will deliver letters, pick up packages, maybe run into a Native American or two and even spend an evening with famed storyteller story-teller Mark Twain. In a new game titled Stage Stop, the Historical Society has created an entertaining way to learn about the stagecoach routes of the 1870s. 1 he game is inspired by an original Kimball Brothers stagecoach, given to the Park City Museum as a gift several years ago. "It was a mess when we got it," recalls Sydney Reed, educational coordinator for the Park City Museum. The project is sponsored by Dolly's Bookstore and the Park City Arts Council.) October 16,1996 A small, quiet voice within speaks, "Submit 'The Suffering' and 'Blue-Eyed Depths' (two of my recently written poems) to Dolly's Bookstore for the contest." Miraculously, not only did I hear the voice clearly, but I followed through and acted on it immediately. I had no stake in the outcome and yet was quite certain I would be selected. When the phone rang, it was Dolly's. I was told I was one of 19 chosen writers. I had a rush of childish excitement excite-ment and let out a whoop of joy. (An old familiar voice chimed in, "Well, there were probably only 19 writers who applied.") Nothing could dampen my enthusiasm, however.
