Long renowned for its skiing opportunities, the Park City area offers a half-dozen outlets for golfers anxious to while away the morning, afternoon or entire day on the links. While there are two public courses located within Park City's limits, four other courses are just a short drive away. Together these six courses provide a variety of golfing challenges to . keep the most-dedicated duffer happy. The Park Meadows Golf Club, an 18-hole, par 72, 7,338-yard course, is Utah's only Jack Nicklaus designed course and is considered to be one of the finest Scottish link courses in the country. coun-try. Here you'll find 105 sand bunkers scattered about the course that annually serves as the setting for the Franklin Quest Championship, a PGA-sanctioned seniors tournament that runs August 26-September 1 this year. Off the course at Park Meadows you'll find an 18,000-square-foot clubhouse that houses a restaurant, private club, banquet facilities, meeting rooms, a private Festival Continued from B-5 ing to Park City in 1980, she has enjoyed the visual peace and the space of a small town. On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday the Moon moves into your opposite oppo-site sign of Libra and you temporarily lose your ability to be decisive. Since the Sun has now entered the. emotional sign of Cancer and your solar 4th house of home, comfort, and psychological well-being, you may need to slow down and smell the roses a little during this next month. At least the ones that you didn't run over with your new red motorcycle. TAURUS (April 20 - May 19) Venus (your charmingly seductive ruler) is keeping company with Mercury (tfiewltty trickster of the zodiac) this week. The term "silver-tongued "silver-tongued devil" does come to mind, I have to admit. This gives you brilliant negotiating negotiat-ing skills. If you have someone you'd like to talk into something, this is the time to do it On Monday you and your sweetheart see eye-to-eye on most things and you feet appreciated and possibly even slightly slight-ly adored. However, don't take too much for granted because Wednesday could bring a change in your mate's attitude. If you're not careful, you may find yourself spending the night under the stars right along side of Fido. GEMINI (May 20 June 20) You are easily eas-ily irritated and hard to get along with on Friday and Saturday) It's probably not the right weekend to go camping with your sister sis-ter and her hyperactive kids. They may decide to retaliate to your grumpy behavior behav-ior by pouring honey on your tent and waiting wait-ing for the bears to show up. Monday and Tuesday your sense of humor returns along with a desire to do something creative cre-ative or entertaining. And since Mercury, your clever ruler, is keeping company with charming Venus this week, you manage to do it all this and more with a touch of class. CANCER (June 21 July 21) Yes, Ifs finally time for celebrating the birth of the Moon Children of the zodiac. Please don't, get your sweet little heart broken if some of the insensitive signs don't realize how sentimental you are about your birthday month. On Friday and Saturday it seems that everyone Is ready to give you "constructive" "con-structive" criticisms about the way that you do things. (Buy earplugs and hum loudly when someone starts giving you their ' unsolicited opinions about your life.) The remainder of the week you'll find more pfj VADO1' dining room and golf shop. To brush up your skills, the club also overs a driving range, chipping green and practice bunker. The Park City Municipal Golf Course lies across town nestled in the shadow of the Wasatch Mountains. Botted with lakes and groves of aspen and pine, the 6,400-yard 18-hole course has a par of 72. It too features a driving range, chipping green and club rentals. A short 10-minute 10-minute drive north of town lies the Jeremy Ranch Golf and Country Club, a private course designed by Arnold Palmer. j'-- 1 Golfers of courses. A bit farther down Interstate 80 toward Salt Lake City lies Mountain Dell, a 36-hole, 6159-yard 6159-yard public course. The other two courses in the Park City area are The Homestead Golf Course and the course at Wasatch Mountain State Park. The Homestead course is 20 miles east of Park City in Midway. LEO (July 22 - Aug. 22) Thursday you're not exactly sure whether your life is a romantic comedy or a sad drama. There's a reversal of celestial character traits as the Moon (Cancer's ruler) is in your sign and the Sun (your ruler) is in the sign ofCancer. You may remain a little confused throughout the weekend so you probably shouldn't schedule one of your wardrobe shopping trips. You'll only end up returning things next week. On Monday and Tuesday you are back to being MrTMs. Sociable and your friends are all delighted to hang out with you. You are also becoming more perceptive and imaginative. imag-inative. And, yes. You can go shopping now. VIRGO (Aug. 22 Sept 21) Although it's still far from perfect, the skies are getting a little friendlier for Virgo. The Sun has moved into your solar 11th house ofspon-taneous ofspon-taneous excitement. Add this to the Moon in your sign on Friday and Saturday and it makes for a good weekend to be a little adventurous and try something new. Money things work in your favor on Monday and Tuesday. It's a good thing too. LIBRA (Sept 22 - Oct 22) Just when you should be having summer fun, you start worrying about your career. So, this week instead of hanging out pooiside, you're probably plotting strategies for your next step in advancing your professional standing. stand-ing. It happens this time every year and there's not much you can do about it unless you happen to move to Australia or New Zealand. The Moon in your sign on Monday and Tuesday motivates you and brings you good luck in any new endeavors. endeav-ors. (With the slight exception of getting married. If you must do It now, wait until Monday night or Tuesday. Trust me on this.) SCORPIO (Oct 23 -Nov. 21) One wouldn't would-n't necessarily refer to you as an idealist, but sometimes you can get rather fervently fervent-ly committed to a belief. This week you may be required to defend one of your ardently felt philosophies when the Sun In your solar 9th house of world views is challenged by the powerfully transformative transforma-tive energies of Pluto and Uranus. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 Dec. 20) Thursday's Moon in the fiery sign of Leo gives you energy and enthusiasm so go out on that softball field and hit a home run. Friday and Saturday are more likely to make you nervous and picky. Your boss and your mate may both suffer from your irritability although you'll probably be the one who's doing the complaining. Fortunately, you mellow out and stop being so cranky on Monday and Tuesday when one of your friends points out how lucky you always seem to be. It doesn't take much for you to see the silver lining again, does it? CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) Usually you can handle the critical energies of the Moon in Virgo, but this Friday and Saturday you may be a bit more sensitive to any verbal slings and arrows that come flying in your direction. You are entering your 6-month review time, but this isn't solely related to job performance or career advancement This is a broad overview of what you've accomplished since your last birthday in all areas of your life. That's right. We're talking relationships, family, character development, spirituality, and even whether you've been taking your vitamins vit-amins or not Don't panic. It's probably not a good day to schedule back-to-back volleyball games or to test run ' your latest anti-gravity invention. Monday and Tuesday are your best days this week. The Moon in the sociable sign of Libra activates the "friendly" part of your personality. Which will be helpful when the aliens return your anti-gravity mechanism that got away and accidentally tangled up with their spaceship. PISCES (Feb. 19 March 19) The good news this week is that the Sun enters your solar 5th house of romance, creativity, and entertainment for a one-month stay. This will be significantly more enjoyable for you than the last few weeks, but then, what wouldn't be? Unfortunately, the Moon moves through your' opposite sign of Virgo on Friday and Saturday so you may be too out of sorts to appreciate your new sense of fun for the first couple of days. The remainder of the week just keeps getting better and by Wednesday you're feeling especially lovable and self-expressive. And, In fact, that's just what you are.
