Approximately 10 pieces are from the collection of Utah Senator Orrin Hatch, according to Charlene Walker, gallery manager. Mr. Eaton will be present pre-sent for the opening of the show, and the exhibit be on display at the gallery until Dec. 1. ' Born and raised in Vernal, Eaton earned his bachelor's and Master's degrees in painting and design from Brigham Young University. Locals are more than likely familiar with Balaban's work, especially since she created the fanciful watercolor representation of Main Street for the Twentieth Park City Art Festival. Her interest in Native American culture balances out beautifully with her love of Western landscape; using both watercolor and oil, Balaban creates appealing work with a light, earthy feel. Her work has been shown throughout the West, and hangs in private collections across the country. Balaban also gives seminars in watercolor painting, and she is listed in "Who's Who of American Art."
