Your turn to taste the upcoming beaujolais Teri Or by TERI ORR Record editor The traditional French celebration celebra-tion of the harvest includes serving a wine that is, if not before it's time, at least on time Nouveau Beaujolais. Deer Valley Resort in conjunction with the Wasatch Mountain Food and Wine Society will host their traditional tasting of the wine, "Le Beaujolais Nouveau Arrive!" on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 3 p.m. to 6 Pm. . According to Food' and Beverage manager, Juli, Wilson, the staff looks forward to the celebration. "It's one of our favorite events. We bring in both the California and the French versions of the wine and create two separate menus which allow guests to compare and contrast con-trast the wines and the styles of French Provencal cooking traditionally tradi-tionally a pheasant-style meal." The French menu, the Burgundian Bistro Specialties has been set to include in-clude pork rillettes, duck pate with green peppercorns, nicoisse salad, chicken gallantines and radishes with parsley. The California menu, American California Cuisine will feature smoked pork loin, salmon and sausage on rye croutons, saffron rice and aram sandwiches, mascar-pone mascar-pone molds, and the famous Deer Valley pizza. Each year the celebration has grown in popularity as wine buffs clamour to taste the beverage that is simply fermented but not aged. To ensure wine and food for everyone the resort asks that reservations reser-vations for the tasting be received no later than November 16th. The tariff for the afternoon of festive tasting and typically unsurpassed Deer Valley dining is $30 per person. He started Cofer Chiropractic seven years ago in Park City to fill an existing ex-isting need. Since then, Park City has grown, as have its needs for the care of an active population base. Sports injuries in-juries are more numerous, along with rehabilitation concerns. When Cofer recognized a need for more services than he was able to offer, he decided to expand to fill the void. The result is the Park City Chiropractic and Sports Medicine Clinic, located next to the Park Record Building at 1670 Bonanza Drive in Prospector Square. Cofer moved to the new space Sept. 1, more than tripling his available square footage. And what has been added to the chiropractic business to fill the space? In addition to chiropractic services, ser-vices, the clinic has brought in additional addi-tional specialists in a variety of areas. There is an orthopedic surgeon, a podiatrist, a nutritional consultant, a massage therapist, ex-' ex-' panded physical therapy ability, and soon to come, a rehabilitation center. "I wanted to provide more service to the community," Cofer explains of his expanding business. "People won't have to go down to Salt Lake for their sports injury problems." What Cofer has put together is a sports medicine conglomeration of sorts. "There are very few places where you find professionals in different areas working together," Cofer says. "I'm trying to do something really different, a multi-disciplined practice." The Park City Chiropractic and Sports Medicine Clinic is now equiped to handle all musculoskeletal musculo-skeletal problems. Most of those could be categorized as sports related injuries, or acute and recurring recurr-ing problems. What the clinic doesn't deal with are internal injuries in-juries and illnesses. Cofer sees the plight of Jacob Doilney as typical of the void which he hopes to fill with the expanded clinic. Doilney suffered a serious knee injury last winter in a ski racing rac-ing accident, had surgery, and has since been rehabilitating. Over the course of that six-month rehab program, pro-gram, Doilney has to travel to Salt Lake to find the necessary facilities. Cofer can't yet handle Doilney's rehabilitation needs, but that area is the next planned expansion. He can currently handle knee and back rehabilitation, but wants to expand to cover any rehab need, using state-of-the-art equipment. He thinks the rehab, center could be going full steam by Jan. 1 of next year. 2-3 bedroom residences in the "Victorian Village Condominiums" in Park City, Utah, a mrldclassskiresortnearthe8lopesandjust30minutesfrom Salt Lake City Airport.
