Show Page A10 Thursday, July 23, 1987 Park Record Students premiere movie extravaganza It was a true Hollywood setting in third grade teacher Mike O'Laughlin's classroom July 14, when students put on "The Room 13 Movie Premiere Extravaganza." Dressing up in dark glasses and fancy duds, the students and many parents watched the movie premieres of five of their own productions. pro-ductions. New to hit the big screen at Parley's Park Elementary School were "The Problem," "Fire Streets," "The Trouble Makers," "The 49th Murder at the 49th Inn" and "The Easter Bunny Who Lost Her Eggs." "The Problem," first to be viewed, view-ed, is a movie about four people, one who smokes and takes drugs, and three others who don't. The three help him stop by showing him films of how people act when they take drugs. "Fire Streets" is based on the premise that punks and cops don't get along well. But one day, a fire occurred oc-curred and two punks went into the burning building to look for people. One punk dies and one lives, and even though the cops had disliked the punks before, both sides finally learn to like each other. "V? ; ' - - V. The third movie was also based on people not working together. "The Trouble Makers" is based on a fight, but people in the fight realize what the saying "everybody needs friends" means. Everyone is able to come to a compromise. "The 49th Murder at the 49th Inn" is about a "dorky" cop and an innkeeper in-nkeeper who solve the 49th murder at the 49th Inn. They solve it by finding fin-ding clues to identify the criminal, and they do so by working together. The cast of the movie was comprised of Jason Hewlett, Katy MacQuoid, Kaleb O'Shea and Anna Knudsen. And the last movie, "The Easter Bunny Who Lost Her Eggs," was about how Easter was saved, and how a little boy and girl helped the Easter Bunny find the Easter eggs. The cast of that movie included Kelly Kel-ly Shackelford, Caren Lowther, Blake Barlow, Jason Hewlett, Anna Knudsen and Katy MacQuoid. After the movie presentations, the students and parents who were present pre-sent enjoyed "fingerfoods" and discussed the performances. VJ;." if ST h ...... ... i-'J : i .
