Under the terms of the agreement, the city will sell UP&L about 37,600 square Teet of land near the old bus garages off Bonanza Drive for $56,464. "The sale price is $1.50 per square foot, which is at a minimum of $12 under the legitimate market sale price for property within that area," City Manager Arlene Loble said in a memo to the council. "However, it is the staffs recommendation that the sale of this property to Utah Power and Light is in the best interests of all of the residents of Park Qty in order to relocate the current substation sub-station on Park Avenue and prevent the construction of a substation...on the corner of Highway 224 and Holiday Ranch Loop Road." Of the property sold to UP&L, about 7,000 square feet had just been acquired from the Greater Park City Company in a land trade. The trade also involved property prop-erty in the vicinity of Snow Country Drive and Bonanza Drive, where the city plans to expand its shop area and build bus garages. In this transaction, the city deeded to the Greater Park City Company a piece of land equivalent in value to the parcel involved in the UP&L substation arrangement. The city also made a straight trade with Greater Park City for 22,000 square feet which will allow the expansion of the present shop facilities. Sample programs at Rec. Expo '83 Park City postal patrons will be receiving their summer Recreation Department brochures bro-chures this week. If any of the offerings sound interesting, interest-ing, there will be a chance to sample them first-hand at the Recreation Department Expo on June 4 between 3 and 6 p.m. "We will have demonstrations demon-strations of everything from A (Aerobics) to Z (for the zils used by the belly dancers)," explained Acting Recreation Department Director Annie Bowman. The Expo will be held in the Memorial Building gym, where booths will be set up to demonstrate several of the summer programs. Steve Erickson will be at the Expo to give a rock-climbing demonstration, some of the advanced dog obedience students stu-dents will show what they learned during the last session of classes, and the Park City School of Gymnastics Gymnas-tics will also perform. "We want people to see everything that is happening this summer," said Bowman. Bow-man. "They might want to try something they never thought of trying before." There will also be booths set up for soccer, tennis, belly dancing, jazz dance and the library. Bowman said that the Expo will provide an easy way for everyone to register for upcoming classes. "Come see what we're all about," said Bowman. Admission Ad-mission to the Expo is free and everyone is invited. hV: U. j..S iV.'U .1 7 . . iu&m 1 I Need a place Wm to live? TRY OUR CLASSIFIEDS!
