Blood pressure clinic The Summit County blood pressure clinic for Park City will be held on Dec. 23 from 2 - 3 p.m. in the public health offices. 467 Main Street. No appointment is necessary. This is by appointment only. For information in-formation or appointment call 649-9072. Gymnastics Park City's first complete school of gymnastics will open Dec. 7. It will feature all of the women's apparatus uneven bars, balance beam, vaulting horse and floor excercises. Don't feel left out, guys, because there is a male on the coaching staff. Monday through Friday, 3 p.m.-lO p.m. Special session, times for dance aerobics Through the Park City Recreation Department, Mary Jane Bird will be offering a special session for December and special times before Christmas for dance aerobics classes. Folk dancing Free folk dancing and instruction will be held every Thurs day from 8 -10 p.m. at the Memorial Building on Main St. Chuck and Suzanne Rowan, managers of the Edelweiss Haus will teach dances from around the world. Great exercise and a fine way to meet Park City people. PERC Center open The PERC (Parent's Educational Resource Center) is now open at Parley's Park Elementary School. Volleyball continues Due to the successful turnout of the volleyball tournament, the Recreation Department, in conjunction with Community Education, will continue to have open volleyball every Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the High School Don't forget your knee pads ! Karate On-going classes every Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Memorial Building. For individuals of all ages! Wear comfortable clothing. Brought to you by the Park City Recreation Department. Crafts for Christmas Every Tuesday from 4 - 5 p.m., the Recreation Department will be holding a special hour of "Crafts for Christmas". Whale-watching film A KSL-produced film on gray whale migration and whale watching in Baja will be shown at the Prospector Athletic Club lounge at 7 D.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15. Community clinics The Park City Community Clinic, Inc., a non-profit family planning program, will be holding a clinic on Thursday, Dec. 10, and Wednesday, Dec. 16. An appointment is required and may be made by calling 649-5989. The services include VD screening, pregnancy testing, counseling and education, contraceptive con-traceptive supplies, physical exams and PAP tests. No one will be denied use of the clinic and all services are confidential confiden-tial and affordable. Health talk: daycare This Sunday at 5:30 p.m., Dr. Bud Keye, moderator of KP-CW's KP-CW's Health Talk, and his guest Jim Wheeler, Director of State Social Services for Wasatch and Summit County, will discuss "Day Care Services in Summit County." Health talk is heard every Sunday at 5:30 and deals with health topics and issues of interest to residents of Park City. Art guild home tour The Kimball Art Guild will be sponsoring a Christmas home tour Wednesday, Dec. 16. The tour will begin at noon at the home of Bill and Connie Marolt, 2152 Webster Drive, Thayne's Canyon. In addition to the Marolt residence, the homes of George and Ve Dawson and Mike and Toni Doilney will be included in the tour. All guild members are invited to attend. New members are also welcome. Local artists show The Park City Artists invite the public to attend their Christmas Art and Gift Show at the Holiday Inn on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Summit Room. There , wilj be an interesting selection of paintings,, needlecraft vests;T)hotograi3hS7batikteeshirts;-woven baskets and wall hangings, quilts, pillows, leather etchings and handbags, pottery, pot-tery, jewelry and stained glass for sale. So be sure and save some of your Christmas shopping for this unique occasion. A local group of singers will be there to add to the festivities. There will also be a bake sale of Christmas goodies. Parking during plowing During the snow season, there will be no parking on the east side of each street throughout Park City, and no on-street on-street parking at all in the Park Meadows area to facilitate snow plowing. Vehicles parked on that side of the street will be ticketed at this time of the year.
