Women support field house project Editor: We, the Park City Women, wish to express our support for the proposed ' plan and construction of the Field House at the new Middle School. We see this project as a valuable asset to Park City and see the cooperation between the city and the school district as a benefit to the whole community. We do support a bond issue to fund this project. The Park City Women Bins are adequate, trash pick-up isn't Editor: In your front-page article on P.C. Village last week, you quote Bill Mam-men Mam-men as saying that he is led to believe that two dumpsters (garbage bins) per 50 units are "totally inadequate." As manager of Snow Flower Con dominiums, where we have two dumpsters dump-sters per 41 units, let me assure Mr. Mammen that this number is more than adequate, provided the city sticks to at least a two pick-up-per-week schedule. They do not at this time, and have not in my two years at Snow Flower, which makes me conclude that there is no problem with the plans for P.C. Village in this regard, but rather a major problem with the Park City trash pickup pick-up system. We have trouble enough getting get-ting trash picked up once a week, let alone twice, in spice of daily phone calls to the maintenance shop. Once this problem is corrected, I don't think there would ever be any complaints of trash build-up because of only two dumpsters per 50 units. Sincerely, Andy Livdal Resortex has ex-bus for now Editor: I would like to express my thanks to the great many local merchants, restaurants, realtors and developers for the warm welcome we have received in the community. I have received numerous calls expressing the value of our free shuttle, "The Resortex Express." The calls I receive are very positive as our free shuttle helps solve one of Park City's greatest deterents to tourists lack of transportation. .The good news is that it is free, not because of the cost but simply because of the difficulty dif-ficulty in getting money out of the ski parka pockets! ' In the last few days we have received a number of calls from tourists, lodge desks and merchants expressing concern con-cern and ire tha we have stopped operating our shutt Believe me it is not our choice and we will be back on the road again very shortly. We have temporarily been restrained from operating because Park City Transportation Transpor-tation felt we were unfair competition. Please, if there are any others concerned con-cerned or curious about Resortex, call 649-4500. Our intent is to have a very positive and professional impact on the community and be instrumental in encouraging en-couraging tourists to return to Park City and bring their friends. We are issuing $3,000 worth of gift certificates per week that are redeemable only in Park City. I feel this has a very positive impact on Park City economy.
