Show Volume Two Thursday, December 4, 1980 Number Six : fk' ,Nfc '4 F , t-' 4 $ "I I Look Past at Windrift Condos-They're Condos-They're Snatched Up Within Days When Phase II of the Windrift condominiums con-dominiums went on the sellers' block, 14 of the 16 units available were sold within days. The remainder were sold by the end of the week. How could this happen? Apparently word had gotten around about Phase I. When completed, the Windrift project will have 48 units with prices presently ranging from $99,000 to $205,000. That's a spectacular price range, and the amount you pay depends on the kind of spectacular view you want. From the decks of the condos, you can see either the slopes of the Park City Resort, laid out before you like a mural; clustered, picturesque Old Town; the charcoal-and-white mountains looming over Park West to the north and west; or the new houses and streets of the Ridgeview subdivision, sub-division, lapping at the hills to the northeast. "The prices deviate depending on your view of the mountain," said Greg Schirf, a listing agent witji the development, but the view will be worth the price, whether you rent a condo or buy it for year-round living. The view inside isn't bad either, considering con-sidering the standard features in the units. Each will have a redwood-lined Jet-a-Tub, for soaking, bathing, and otherwise shamelessly indulging one's body. A wood-burning stove is available, along with gas, if your last twig-hunting expedition wasn't too successful. (An outdoor tennis court awaits for that time of year when the temperature will rise.) A garage with storage space is allocated to every unit. The front living area holds plenty of room for comfort couches, chairs and dining table are nestled close to the fireplace. Adjacent to it is a U-shaped kitchen area that allows the harried cook easy access to the living room. Across the hall from the kitchen is a closet space that a trained pony act could use for practice runs. At the back you will find two bedrooms and two baths, including shower, tub and hot tub. That's the basic "A" unit 1,178 square feet that sells for the bottom price of $99,000. The "B" unit adds on an outer deck, plus outside storage room. This among other variations, pushes the price to $112,000-$115,000. Pay in the neighborhood of $153,000-$155,000 and you have the "D" unit, which features are you sitting sit-ting down? two decks, on either side of the unit, and an extra bedroom and bath, located in a spacious upper attic floor. This is the ' unit with two floors. Finally, at the upper end of the scale, around $205,000 is the three-bedroom, three-bath "C" unit, which is called "unbelievably huge" in the brochure, only because the proper spelling for "humongous" has not yet been agreed upon. This is 2,148 square feet with an expanded amount of bathroom and closet space. That price comes to something like $94 a square foot an unusual value, according to Greg Shirf. (The furniture package for each unit is an additional charge of $5,000-$8,000.) Each unit has, like every other development , a considerable amount of southern window exposure to attract at-tract heat. There are wood frames on the windows and thick amounts of insulation in-sulation on walls and ceilings ("...far Windrift to 5 |
