Show I Page 7 Music in the Mountains at Park West The hills, and mountains, are alive with music this summer as Creative Concerts and the Kimball Kim-ball Art Center present a summer concert series under the stare and on the grass at the Park West Resort. Offering the best of entertainment in an ideal setting, six dynamite concerts are coming to the Park City area, beginning with Blood, Sweat and Tears this Sunday night as a farewell salute to the 11th Annual An-nual Arts Festival. The Park West resort has been preparing the site, constructing a stage area and awning for the musicians, and seeding the bottom of the ski slopes to give viewers a comfortable outdoor arena for easy listening. There's ample parking for 5,000 guests, and it's just a short walk from your car to the stage. So bring your lounge chair or blanket, a picnic basket aniplenty of liquid refreshment, and head to Park West rain or shine. Bring a sweater! Blood, Sweat and Tears, featuring David Clayton-Thomas, opens the series with their eight-piece brass and string band at 6 p.m. August 3, with tickets $6.50 in advance advan-ce and $7.50 at the door. On Saturday, August 16 at 7 p.m., Park West presents Jerry Jeff Walker and John Prine. Then its EmmyLou Harris and The Hot Band August 24th at 5 p.m.. The following weekend, Sunday, August 31 at 5 p.m., don't miss Judy Collins and The Salt Lake Chamber Ensemble. Opening September up with a bang on the 7th is the Blues Festival at 1 p.m., with B.B. King, Muddy Waters and James Cotton. Finishing the series with an equally big bang is the ever-popular ever-popular Bonnie Raitt, Thursday, September Septem-ber 11th at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Kimball Art Center in Park City, and in Salt Lake City, at the Cosmic Aeroplane, Gepettos, Ruby Records, Sound Track, Toad Tape and Budget Tapes.
