As a reminder, most all of you promised to be open 11-7 weekends to make it easier for everyone to take advantage advan-tage of those wonderful Christmas buys advertised . A community Christmas Celebration is planned Dec. 15 in the evening and Santa is booked numerous times to delight all Park City and visiting younsters. The City decorations will be up and expanded again this year with a delightful tree at the base of Main Street. The new terminal, which houses Western Airlines as the principal tenant, represents a 20 million dollar investment. "Passengers flying out of the new terminal can look forward to direct terminal-to-aircraft boarding by means of loading bridges furnished by Jetway Corporation Cor-poration of Ogden, Utah," according to Paul B. Gaines, Director of Airports. The spacious new facility features 160,000 square feet of floor space, 11 aircraft parking gates (4 for DC-10 wide-bodies jets), as well as a coffee shop, lounge, gift and news stand and other supnort services. "The terminal features curb-side baggage and ski check-in, spacious holding rooms at each gate and second-level passenger boarding for the first time in Salt Lake City," stated Grant G. Murray, Regional Vice President of Western Airlines. "Wester currently operates 42 flights daily from Salt Lake City, and boarded 850,000 passengers in 1978. With this new facility we anticipate handling 2 million passengers in 1979," Murray said. The terminal was designed by Montmorency, Hayes & Talbot Architects, Inc. W.P.
